My first shoot with the lovely Paul. I connected with him through purple port!

He booked a two hour but we ended up doing a three, although we were both exhausted by the end .

He was kind and welcoming , and very considerate of breaks 😊

He showed me his ideas with the lights and different angles. We did a lot of portrait work which was great, as my favourite style is portrait.

Despite being only a hobby, Paul showed great maturity and knowledge.

He always complemented me and I felt comfortable throughout.

Looking forward to the next one.

I made it to Aberdeen for a second time in one year! Quite a big thing for me with the crazy times we’ve had, and being a bit uncertain with travel etc. But I really love coming up this far North... Paul is someone up here for example who I’ve shot with many times now - and always look forward to catching up with. 😃 What is also nice is that we try to mix up where we shoot/do different things each time to keep the inspiration going. As such; we went to some completely different outdoor locations this time, which gave us entirely different backgrounds/moods to work with - the sites came recommended by Paul and they were a great choice for the fabulous fashion looks we captured! 🙌 This is certainly another successful shoot in the bag. 😊

Location number one was a colourful local park: the autumnal colours were still in full force with reds and oranges... Now combine a vibrant knitwear outfit/styling to go with; we had ourselves some fun working shapes and expressions across the park in different imaginative ways. 🙂 Paul was enthusiastic as ever, willing to get down into slightly more awkward positions for him to get the good angles - he’s always game for a collaborative atmosphere and suggestions from the model too. We achieved a lovely batch of pictures from that first location stop - then it was onwards and upwards! 😁 A little stop for a coffee/hot chocolate then enabled us to grab some lifestyle-like portraits with smiles and emotion. 🙂 From there - we went off to some grounds where more Autumn colours just flooded the place! And not forgetting some very pretty ambient light options as the sun went down. This was particularly fun/different for us. 😃

So all in all - lots of great yield and opportunities! 🤩

My experiences with Paul have always been positive - he listens/takes on board things and does value what a model brings to a shoot. He offered me ample respect again, was easy going and a joy to strike a rapport with. As we worked; we had the chance to chat lots and lots as well - this is always the case haha! 😃 Yes; it was an upbeat working environment, and I will happy offer my recommendation to Paul again.

It’s been so long since I shot with Paul! And in all honesty: so long since I even toured Scotland properly! With everything going on it had just been one of those precarious things arranging a lengthy/two week tour like I used to do. Needless to say: it was a joy to get back to Aberdeen, and indeed to catch up with this fellow. 😃

We shot on location with a few different areas of interest that Paul took the time to scout out for us! I’m not terribly familiar with the area really, so Paul’s local knowledge came highly valued! It was great - we got a bit of everything, from fashion (elegant and edgy!) to siren-like artistic images down at the beach as well. 😃 A total mix of looks that just kept giving when we moved from one spot to the next. Paul was enthusiastic as I remember from our past shoots - he threw himself right into the location vibe (even though he’s mostly done studio work!) and was willing to hear ideas and bounce off me when we both saw different opportunities whilst out and about. Leading lines/crashing waves/mad shapes - it was never a dull moment! And given that we did kind of arrange it quite short notice as well: it was a great success. ☺️ The images kept coming out looking really cool and full of life for each of the scenarios we did photos of - exactly how a shoot should be with regards to creative flow. Paul wasn’t afraid to get really low angles or sit on the sand either - even grabbing opportunities in the middle of the road (when clear) to include aspects of interest in his images! It was fun to see him work and get involved like he did. 🙂

Of course because it’s been so long: we did a whole load of chatting as we worked! It was a relaxed pace (not rushed) and I felt comfortable again working with Paul who listened and cared about what I felt/expressed as a model, as well as showing courtesy to me. The rapport was still there - even after a number of years haha! 😄 Paul gave lovely feedback as I posed and also communicated well if he saw a shot/something he wanted to capture. The atmosphere was positive, and an all-round cracking morning I’d say!

Communications were great; Paul kept me in the loop every step of the way as we got things planned. Tours can be hectic - so good comms are always very much appreciated from a models side! 😃

Thank you ever so much Paul - we’ll be torn between the studio and location in future! What a lovely session it was!

Worked with Paul during a scottish tour . Good pre communications , had a mood board to present his ideas too . Did have a bit of difficulty with lighting but he didn't give up and rose to the challenge to figure out why and try several lighting changes ... Thanks Jessica x

Paul booked me to shoot 3 hours with him at his house while I was touring in Aberdeen - in fact we ended up shooting two half days together as things went so well! Paul's preshoot comms were very thorough and we sorted out details no problems, and he was an excellent host while I shot at his. His conduct was perfect, he treated me with respect and said many kind things about me :) The shoot was relaxed and Paul ensured I had plenty of food and coffee breaks. I would be glad to shoot with him again, hopefully next time I'm up in Aberdeen! :)

I worked with the lovely Paul again on my recent tour to Scotland - this time working at Studio Dee- and had such a great time! :) Paul is such a gentleman to work with- very kind, considerate and thoughtful, every shoot is very enjoyable.

The shoot was very relaxed and I had plenty of cups of tea and a good catch up! The studio was a lovely space to work in and we ran through a mixture of ideas from fashion to art nudes,it was a fun and memorable shoot and I hope we work together again soon! I worked with Paul during my studio day at Studio- Dee a few days ago.

Paul arrived on time and had brought along some inspiration images which helped me get a good idea on what he wanted.

Paul was very open to my suggestions during the shoot. We discussed camera settings, lenses and I even showed him how to turn his camera to mono which really helped us get a feel for the images/ lighting.

We did mostly fashion, lingerie and a little bit of nude at the end and got some great results. Roy (studio owner) was about at all times to help us with lighting too which was great.

I would happily work with Paul again at the studio and hope he books on to my next trip. Thank you, Paul :)

Paul and I crossed paths on my last visit to Aberdeen when I found myself with some unexpected availability following a cancellation and Paul stepped in to save the day! :) The communications we had were detailed and full of enthusiasm but straight to the point as well so it was most definitely the most stress-free planning which was a godsend to me at the time; Paul was clear and concise on what he wanted to achieve from the shoot and kindly met me at the station too to then chauffer me to the studio in the centre of town.

The studio was very clean and comfortable, Paul had heaters going left right and centre to keep the chill off for me (looking after the models well-being from the word go!) and we got on with working through a lovely variety of modelling styles. Paul was very encouraging of my input with the styles so there was a fabulous productive flow as we bounced off each other; when we shot some more complex body scape work it was a challenge with the genre being quite new to Paul and the studio being new to me but he was on the ball with adjusting the lights to get the effect he wanted and had epic amounts of patience with fine detail as it was the tiniest little differences that made all the difference.

The images looked cracking as we reviewed them; Paul was fantastic with giving me feedback as I posed which enabled us to really go for it when a particular look was working. I found the shoot flew by but with a nice relaxed/no pressure pace and Paul is a friendly, down to earth guy which meant the nattering in-between sets was ongoing! :) He had many interesting and exciting things to tell about his background and photography in general - certainly very easy to get along with for me!

It's always rewarding when a shoot goes well... it's clear Paul is very passionate about his work and it was lovely to help be a part of it. He has my recommendation and hopefully our paths may cross again soon in the not too distant future!

I worked with the lovely Paul at a very unique castle location in Scotland on my travels and had such a great time! Paul is super easy to work with, down to earth and very considerate.

He has a professional approach and is lovely to talk to. Paul kindly booked me for a full day at the castle and was great company, producing some beautiful images of the room I was staying in on my travels. I had the pleasure of working with Paul last Friday (16/01/15) on a studio shoot here in Aberdeen. Haha, what can i say - Paul is a real character and knows just what he likes. His pre shoot messages were all detailed, specific and frequent. He has an enquiring mind and asks all the right questions to ensure the shoot goes exactly as planned. On the day he was an absolute gentleman; arrived early to ensure the location was warm and cosy for me. He was enthusiastic, imaginative and had some great ideas. Unlike so many he had the patients to try various sets, different outfits and poses; he was never watching the clock or pushing to finish. This put me at ease from the outset and the time just flew. A lovely man that i'm sure will make many a models dreams come true over the years to come. I recommend him and will certainly work with him again.

Had two lovely shoots with Paul on my recent trips north. Paul has excellent pre shoot communications with clear ideas about the kinds of area's he wished to cover. Although new to photography paul has a keenness and passion to learn. He has a friendly polite manner and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
