First let me introduce myself, then we'll get into the nitty gritty... 

I'm a semi-pro part time photographer based in South West UK. I'm all about capturing colourful, moody, and faded aesthetics, especially when it comes to celebrating the beauty and form of the female form. I love adding a touch of the evocative, an artistic and sensual vibe to my work, whether we shoot on full frame digital or good ol' analog film. I want you to rest assured knowing that your safety and comfort are my main concerns - having clear communication and shared trust is paramount during all comms and shoots. 

I like to shoot a mixture of digital and film - I always have my trusty Nikon D810 and a Nikon F4s pro 35mm camera with me, with a trio of prime lenses to meet all occasions - for the right project I will bring my 120 Medium Format film camera and a handful of expired film stock. I usually prefer to shoot on location, out in the wilds, abroad on adventures where I can shoot using natural light wherever possible, but sometimes, when the sun sets the studio lights come out to play, with a selection of colour gels and the option of using a fog machine to add texture, depth and moodiness to the scene (this works especially well with analog film shoots). The candid yet moody evocative feminine signature aesthetic I love to capture - the magic otherwise unseen and hidden, unveiling the moments "in-between"

To ensure transparency and avoid any misunderstandings and wasted time messaging, let's get the topic of compensation and image usage out of the way first...

TFP (Time for Print) and Content Share or Paid Shoot

For models looking to enhance their portfolios, gain experience, network and share content on social media, I am always up for collaborative TFP (Time for Print) projects with content shared as compensation. This is predominantly why I am here - I only shoot TFP on a non-commercial basis; however, compensation discussions are required for any commercial applications and licensing of images. If you'd like to collaborate and shoot with me in return for content and want to contribute to the creative concept, get in touch via a DM and lets make a plan... 

Payment for Shoots:

Typically, as a professional photographer, compensation is only ever made to models when there's direct monetary gain for me or my client, for example; when a client commissions a project requiring a model or I require a model for a personal print or stock project. The payment made to the models is closely tied to the specific project requirements and the intended use of the images, aligning with potential economic returns.

Understanding Compensation and Image Usage:

It's essential to recognise that when a model receives payment for a shoot, whether in cash or kind, it covers the services, talent and time provided during the session. In such cases, the model isn't entitled to any of the images taken during the shoot, whether for adding to your portfolio and especially for commercial use. (ie selling images/content to fans on O/F or other online platforms. If you are a model or agency and would like to work together or book me for a shoot to create content intended for your commercial gain, my professional rates will apply. Clarification on Expectations:

If you'd like to receive images from the session, but you're expecting or requesting payment for a shoot, understand that the compensation is for your time, skills, and effort. In these instances, you won't retain rights to the images beyond the agreed-upon terms.

Delusion of Double Compensation:

Expecting both full payment for your modelling services and retaining rights to the images for personal or commercial use is unrealistic in contradiction to how the industry works. If you're engaging with me in the expectation of double compensation—receiving payment for services whilst also retaining rights to images—it may not align with industry standards and will cease communication and refuse future booking requests. 

Professional Ethics:

My reputation precedes me - I uphold the highest standards of professionalism and expect the same in return from those I work with. I am committed to fostering a safe community and creative network of like minded local talent, with transparency and a culture of mutual respect at the core of the collaborations. 

 

Now that the 'Nitty Gritty' is outta the way... 

• Experienced Models - Commercial Gain: Rates start from £45 and go up to £175 per hour depending on the levels required. In most cases I can work within your budget to get the results you need - get in touch to start the conversation. These rates are for experienced models and/or niche content creators looking for professional photography and/or videography for commercial purposes (i.e. selling images as prints or downloads or personal gain from brand deals, sharing with subscribers, patrons and fans, placing images behind a pay wall, creating custom paid content etc). The cost per hour includes the photoshoot, editing, and high-resolution images with a custom license for commercial use. I am open to working TFP for these kinds of shoots, but will also expect that I can share and use the images created together for personal gain too, and will only consider if the project aligns with my current portfolio. • Amateurs Building Portfolio: Time for Print (TFP). For amateur rising star models with a concept or creative project in mind, who are looking to build their portfolio without direct commercial intentions, I am open to TFP arrangements as long as the concept aligns with my portfolio. This option includes the photoshoot, editing, and high-resolution images licensed for personal use only (no commercial license). Don't be shy to get in touch and share your ideas and concepts, I am always on the lookout for exciting and creative collaborative projects, but at the same time, please don't be offended if I refuse. 
• Brands with Commercial Purpose: Contact me for a custom quote. For brands looking for professional photography for commercial gain, please contact me directly for a custom quote. I am always eager to take on new and innovative projects and am committed to delivering high-quality results. I understand the importance of working within a budget and will strive to provide creative solutions that meet your needs and exceed your expectations. This option includes the photoshoot, editing, and high-resolution images with a custom license for commercial use.
• Travel Expenses: I am always ready to hit the road and capture stunning images no matter where the adventure takes me! Whether it's just around the corner or on the other side of the world, I am willing to pack my bags and go the extra mile to bring your vision to life. 
• For local photo shoots within 15 miles of my humble abode, I'm more than happy to show up with my cameras and gear in tow, free of charge as I'll happily cover the travel expenses to ensure we capture the perfect shot. However, if your project or shoot takes requires me to travel further afield in the UK and abroad, I will charge travel expenses, which will be confirmed and agreed upon before making the booking. 

When it comes to collaborative shoots, I'm always up for a challenge. If you have a vision in mind and we've agreed to work together, I'll work with you every step of the way to bring our concept to life. Whether it's a fashion shoot, a portrait session, or something completely unique, I'll be happy to travel up to 60 miles to be a part of the magic. 

• Deposit Required: For paid photo shoots, I require a 50% deposit to secure the date and time of the shoot. This deposit is non-refundable and serves as a commitment from both parties to follow through with the agreed upon project. The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of the shoot or as agreed upon in the contract. This policy ensures that I am able to allocate the necessary resources and time for each project, and it also guarantees that you will receive the professional level of service and attention that you deserve.

Note: Custom license agreements for commercial use are separate from my standard rates and will be negotiated based on the specifics of each project.
