I'm Olly, I've been shooting documentary, street, and fine art photographs for the last decade or so. A lot of my focus has been on photographing the art world of Wrexham and documenting my travels around North Wales. Recently, after nudging from friends, I've been moving into shooting more portraiture-type imagery hence my being here!

I don't like staging things, I don't use any fancy kit, and most of the time I use just my 27mm prime pancake lens on my Fuji. I like as minimal a setup as possible so that people can just exist in front of the lens and have space to improvise and express themselves. I take pictures because they help me look at the world, they help me see, they help me connect. 

My main influences are from photographers such as Daido Moriyama, Nan Goldin, Todd Hido, Ernst Haas, Saul Leiter, Jane Bown, and Joel Meyerowitz. It's safe to say reading about them has turned me into a photography nerd, and I'm always happy to sit and chat about the art form for hours on end :)

A major thing is that I've no time for photographers who abuse their position and use this art form as a way to be inappropriate towards models.
