The Eclecticist

I'm a freelance photographer, working between Brighton and London, looking to move forward creatively, technically, and conceptually. Although I am technically and creatively confident, there is always more to learn and new things to try!

My shoots tend to be fairly laid-back with a decent soundtrack and the odd laugh thrown in, whether it is a personal shoot or a job. I shoot indoors, outdoors, with natural light, flash, whatever the shoot requires. I don't like to work in a formulaic way and feel that each shoot should be approached individually.

For me, shoots are as much about the people as the technical side. I would always take a spontaneous image of someone expressing themselves and their own identity over a perfectly staged shot of someone with very little character. Although I have lots of ideas of my own, I also like to allow models to be themselves and express themselves - it's personality I'm looking for, more than the perfect pose.

I am willing to do tfcd work for the right kind of shoot, with the right kind of people, so don't be afraid to ask. However, photography is my career, so this is not an offer to work for free. We all know the difference between a job and a fun, personal shoot, so let's not pretend otherwise.
