I shot today with Nicolas in a London studio. We had discussed the ‘wet plate’ technique he wanted to use and the kinds of images he wanted to achieve. When I arrived Nicolas showed me the way he developed the images and the type of camera, both fascinated me.

The process involved me staying very still in poses for about 20 seconds while the picture was taken. Nicolas then developed it in his mini darkroom and we could then watch the picture emerge.

The process was very organic and rewarding, the finished plate showed very soft, emotive images that had an almost 1920s feel, full of femininity.

I had a thoroughly enlightening and fulfilling time working with Nicolas, and the plates we produced were really amazing.

I recommend working with Nicolas, he is a brilliant creative and a real gentleman. I hope very much to work with him again on one of his projects.Thank you Nicolas!

Had a great shoot with Nicolas. He made me feel very at ease throughout the shoot and we collaborated with ideas and direction. Nicolas is a very experienced photographer and I would definitely work with him again. The shots looked amazing afterwards!
