Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit this little part of the Purple Port world.

 

Background

My name is Matt and I've been learning photography for 10 years or so - see m@tz portfolio and below for some examples of what I've shared - using a range of Nikon cameras and lenses (currently using a D850 with several different lenses ranging from 24mm to 200mm).

I am now - this past year or so - trying new things, particularly more portraiture (which is why I have registered with PurplePort), and want to meet people who share my passion to make images that tell a story, are though provoking and that capture the moment that we have created.

 

Shooting with me

My philosophy is that a shoot should be an enjoyable experience for everyone, respectful and a joint venture. I have loads of ideas but I'm happy to listen to others to get something that we can be proud of and to have a good time in the process. I give models a veto of what photographs of them that I share (usually on Purple Port and my website), just let me know and I will take any offending ones down.

I am available most weekends and evenings during the week (after the day job) and will consider taking time off work for the right opportunity. I have my own transport and I'm willing to travel.

 

Rates

My rates are dependant on what the shoot is and whether it is of interest for me. If your idea ticks my boxes than I am likely to be free of charge, if not then my prices vary from £20 - £45 per hour + expenses (travel etc.) depending on what is required with agreed images being made available shortly after the shoot (post-processing, if requested and agreed, will take a little longer and may incur further charges subject to agreement).

 

Please Don't Ask

Treating people fairly, with dignity and respect, is important to me - I would appreciate the same. If I want to work with a particular artist (model/MUA/other) or studio then I will contact them, make the arrangements and pay the agreed amount. Please do not expect me to pay you purely to provide you with images for your own social media.
