The ghost of Martha Groves, a Kitchen Hand at Sandon Hall for Lord Donald in 1586. Martha fell out of favour when she was caught in bed with Lord Donald one night by Lady Donald who had returned home unexpectedley. Lady Donald, in a fit of wild jealousy, insisted the beautiful Martha was beheaded by Lord Donald and her body buried in the cellar where her ghostly features now returns on the anniversary of her death, looking for Lady Donald.
