Hi and thanks for reading this. Hopefully you will be interested enough to get to the end :-) I would like to increase my small modelling portfolio by exchanging opportunities with images but am also happy to pay for time, but not at London professional rates! I also don't want to incur the cost of expensive props and studio sets as they are suited to campaign work, rather than the more natural flow I am currently comfortable with! My feeling is that creativity can be enhanced with discussion between model and photographer, by telephone initially but importantly again on the day. What really interests me is how the model would like to be depicted, as on several shoots I have attended it has been totally prescribed by third parties/clients. It doesn't mean I can do it but I am willing to try. My preferred outcome is what I can get in camera without relying on post production digital skills, although I have basic Photo Shop retouching capability. My initial objective is to pull together some themes to submit for my ARPS (Associate level RPS). I have a few ideas and would welcome more. I have the entry level LRPS (Licentiate Royal Photographic Society) qualification and studied photography for 5 years at adult college. I have been on several other courses in the UK and USA, including selective colouring (prints with oil based tools) black and white processing, colour processing, RPS studio portraiture, RPS glamour modelling and RPS art nude. I prefer natural light with a reflector or one lamp. I don't have studio access but rely on model approved outside resources and model own facilities. For flexibility and a more relaxed approach, I am interested in solo time and not joining queues or studio organised events. I have been associated with a couple of photo clubs in Hampshire and a national street/social photography group. If you are interested in building a portfolio for yourself but under 18, you must please be accompanied on the shoot by a responsible adult aged over 21.
