I'm a London based amateur photographer and got started about ten years ago. By day I'm an architect and academic writer. Photography supplements my enthusiasm for visual imagery, story telling, and sense of place.

Photographically I'm building up a portfolio of environmental nudes. (I got into this during the last recession, when I was working a four day week and looking for something bohemian to do on my day off.) I'm inspired by everyday settings and an informal atmosphere.

My photographic style is fairly low key, using available light to create images that have an analogue quality. I work in both digital and film photography, the latter mainly with an FM2 (35mm) and a budget medium format camera (Holga).

When working with models I always prepare a mood board showing the atmosphere, setting and poses I have in mind. In each shoot I try to get a three or four sets, by varying styling, using the location creativly, and post processing. I also often produce hand drawn sketches and use these at the start of a shoot as a way of briefing visually. I'll send my storyboards in advance and enjoy collaboration.
