The 1st out of the four is Earth - North - Winter - Night.
This shows a Nordic/Viking man sitting in a cold, dark cave, during the middle of winter wile meditating; becoming one with the Earth.
Winter is not only the darkest time of the year, but also the time where everything is at work underground, in the earth, preparing for spring time and the North is also the coldest section of the world.
