Its been eight years since I last took photography seriously. … Oh … ok Im kidding ... I never took photography seriously. I got a bit jaded and bored, and a number of commercial jobs sucked all traces of creativity and spontaneity out of me. But I miss this lark and I have decided its probably worth another go. I am not sure where this new photographic adventure will take me, I may fall naturally back into my stock “seaside postcard” irreverent style I am most comfortable with or it may take a gritty more visceral stripped down path … If you have what it takes, maybe you could be the one to set me on my new path, I don't intend for it to be comfortable …

 

So like a phoenix from the flames or maybe a poo that wont flush … I'm back!

Hello, I’m Matt Miller I’m a dilettante, I make pictures from time to time which is why I have been erroneously accused of being a photographer by the unimaginative.
I am not like any other photographer, I am random, forgetful, unprofessional, and I have absolutely no attention span, I firmly believe that photography is the only pursuit in life that requires no skill, knowledge or aptitude, in fact having these things are a hindrance in the creation of images, That said, I am also a massive hypocrite and I’m happy to impart my dubious knowledge to anyone who wants to buy me a pint.

If you want to work with me you will need to approach me with an idea that interests or excites me, if I read your message and laugh out loud then I will almost certainly agree to it. whim takes a major role in choosing who I work with, A good rule of thumb is the less suitable you think you are the more suitable you probably are, if everyone wants to work with you already its highly likely I wont work with you simply because it amuses me to be contrary.
I only generally do TFP with friends, Buy me a coffee or a beer first, I’m a pushover then and will probably agree to anything. For everyone else you will have to contribute. My services are very reasonable and I accept almost any currency from Jaffa cakes to Danish pastries.

I rarely contact models, If I have contacted you, it generally means in my opinion there is something unique about you, I don't go to the effort of contacting anyone unless I am really serious about working with them.

Chaperones are encouraged, however they will be expected to pull their weight by making tea, carrying bags, holding lights or any other menial and possibly humiliating task I can think of, in addition to this it may be necessary for a chaperone to step in if any shoot ideas require an extra body.
