I am a serious amateur photographer. I have owned SLRs since 1983 my first camera being a OM20. My first DSLRs were a pair of Nikon. D70's which I learned inside out. Recently, having outgrown the 6MP I upgraded to a Nikon D800. My photographic experience extends from shooting weddings, award ceremonies, Family portrait sessions, sports photography, and some limited concert photography. I have worked with numerous models to shoot some glamour photography. However my passion is art, and my current project is to shoot sessions with models to obtain beautiful images which I then use to produce photo-realistic pencil drawings. Hence the reason to upgrade to the D800, I need the detail to reproduce the photographic-like qualities in my drawings.
