Magpie Maven Costumiers

We are Magpie Maven costumiers, a start up business aiming to hire out costumes for themed shoots for models and photographers, events, special occasions and film work. Whether it's a fairy ball where you need the perfect fantasy dress for a night, or you need a costume for a themed shoot, we're aiming to provide!

 

So far, we're only just starting up, although my business partner and I have worked in the costume industry for years. For that reason, we need models to wear our stock as we make it, so that we can build a social media portfolio. We'd like to work with a variety of different models as we hope to build a collection suitable for all types of people. Inclusivity is important to us here at Magpie Mavens.

 

Working in the costume industry means that we can provide ourselves as dressers for the shoots. Part of the fun is being on set and behind the scenes watching the magic come to life!

So far our collection consists of:

A grey renaissance dress at a size 42-44/45" inch bust suitable for someone at a height of 5'5"/5'6" (nape to ground of 57") 

Maroon and gold tudor doublet with breeches (size pending)

Green autumnal Tudor dress (size pending) 

We also have in the pipelines some pastel rainbow sheer bloomer shorts and crop chemise sets (measurements to come) that we're aiming to use for a shoot in the near future that involves either a circus/clown or pride theme. 

We will be making costumes for fantasy based themes and we are already working on a fire elemental/phoenix dress suitable for a fantasy ball or shoots. This dress will be petite in size at 32" bust and 28" waist.
