Creative Style

I like to work with traditional and non traditional fashion models. I work for pay and trade as a part-time stylist/image consultant and part-time designer/maker. I live and work in the lake district I like using aspects of Cumbrian outdoor locations to enhance the shoots and make them atmospheric. I am also interested in representing traditional and non traditional beauty in the models and with the photographers I choose, where the work allows for it.

I have years of experience in the fashion industry, as director of  my own design company in the eighties and have since worked as an Haute Couture lecturer on BA and MA fashion courses.  My favourite work includes hats usually and high end fashion pieces made from from beautiful cloth and fibres.  Much of my work is for fashion products, but I do makeovers and style pictures for personal profiles and adverts.  I am used to working with professional models and expect them to feel at ease with all manner of garments, as I am interested in vintage elements mixed with the new, there is usually a personal element to the shoots sometimes using hats, vintage accessories and/or unusual colours and locations.

I am easy to work with, providing stylish ads for fashion companies and columns for local newspapers. I am professional, hardworking and will travel far and wide. I have a good sense of humour and artistic eye, I love colour and I am very down to earth.  Usually sourcing all make-up, hair stylists, and clothing needed for the shoots.
