Had a shoot today with Lydia (from now one will be known as Rita Hayworth to me) for a vintage pin up styled shoot. What can I say apart from Lydia brought the shoot to life with her superb style, make-up, hair skills and total professionalism. She eased into the shoot and from the first to last shot, she transitioned from pose to pose with style, elegance and skill. I was absolutely stunned buy her sheer brilliance at interpreting the remit.

Lydia stepped in to the breach at short notice following an unexpected free slot in my shoot schedule, and hence I was absolutely relying on her to self-style the shoot at the Boardroom in Derby. Lydia did not disappoint, bringing a wide variety of both vintage glamour and edgy goth options, looks that she can pull off with aplomb. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed shoot, posing effortlessly both to direction and freestyle. For a largely unplanned, and 'go with the flow' shoot, produced a number of great images. Definitely recommended, and I hope I can work with Lydia again.

Second shoot with Lydia who was brilliant as ever! Lydia absolutely nailed the look for this shoot and worked really hard to make the shoot a success. Lydia is happy to respond to direction, but also has lots of ideas and is really easy to work with. Lydia is a total professional, has excellent comms and her hair and make-up were spot on.

I shot with Lydia for the first time today. I have been looking for a model that could carry off the vintage look and knew from Lydia’s portfolio that she definitely could.

Her pre-shoot comes were great and we both had an idea of what we were going to be aiming to achieve.

Lydia arrived in plenty of time with a bag that reminded me of Mary Poppins. It was a bag that just kept giving. Numerous outfits and shoes were in there. All absolutely right on the money.

Lydia needs absolutely no direction and can move from pose to pose with ease.

Although we had a plan it was great that ideas developed as the shoot progressed and Lydia has loads of great ideas. She knows what works for her and smashes it every time.

I can’t praise her too highly. Lydia is an absolute gem. She is one stunning model, a fabulous young lady, and a true star.

Do I recommend her ? Bet your life I do.

Crossroads Studio

Lydia was booked to shoot at the studio today.

She turned up on time with numerous outfits for the shoot.

She is great fun to have around, chatty, and very easy to get along with. A real people’s person.

Having said that, Lydia is a true professional and takes her modelling seriously. She puts in 100% effort and produces amazing results for the photographers.

I can highly recommend her and hope it’s not too long before she returns to Crossroads Studio.

Delighted to work with Lydia at a natural light location shoot at the Black Country Museum last week (such a fab location). Lydia has such a great look that suits the vintage genre so well, works really hard to ensure a successful shoot (thank-you) and does such a great job. Really good comms; a total professional. I have worked with Lydia a handful of times and what a pleasure it is! She is very skilled and flows incredibly well when posing, giving such a wonderful vintage flair with her styling.

Her adaptability to change her look to suit a theme of a shoot is delightful and her outfits, hair and makeup are always done to a high standard.

Absolutely love working with her and her warm, friendly personality, can't recommend her enough!

where to start. although I didn't get the chance to shoot with Lydia I invited her to my event and // WOW!!!

she's not only absolutely gorgeous but a very versatile professional model. She arrived bang on time she was very welcoming made everyone feel comfortable, she was just a star and I can't fault her. everyone complimented her on her ability to pose and her attitude.

Not to mention how gorgeous her outfits were!!!!!

So yeah highly highly recommended!!!!! been watching to get my makeup brushes on this girls face for so long hahaa.

The Strelley Hall shoot was definitely enhanced by Lydia, who I photographed during the 1-2pm slot. She was a delight to work with, helping me with the arranging of some excellent poses. Her skill and professionalism made a huge difference to the whole day.

Her outfit and makeup were superb and I consider these to be amongst my better pictures of the day as a result of the time and effort she had put into such details.

What an absolute professional and a skilled model. She poses in a manner that took me back to the golden age of cinema, Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo would have a battle on their hands. Aside from this Lydia is also intelligent, engaging and a wonderful person. It was so easy to work with her that the time disappeared so quick

A Shot in the Dark

I was fortunate enough to grab a couple of 121 sets with Lydia at the December lensmaidens day at the Boardroom.

I absolutely loved working with Lydia!

She looked fantastic, hair and make up to a high standard, and had a range of outfits with her.

She was super friendly and nice and a total ease to work with, such a pleasure to be around!

The thing that impressed me most was her range of dynamic poses, rather than only just doing the standard poses you'd expect for the outfit she also went outside the box with some great ideas that I loved! She really knows her body and face well, which I think is so important for a model! Thanks to her creativity I came away with loads of shots I really adore!

I would highly recommend Lydia. :)

Had my first studio shoot with Lydia, and I hope it's the first of many!

It'd been a few years since I last shot with a female model, but Lydia was friendly, patient, professional and just great to work with, arriving with a choice of outfits to suit the shoot, and having researched my inspiration for the shoot herself, so absolutely going above and beyond!

We got some great photos out of the session, the only thing stopping them being even better was my own learning which I'm still working on.

I can't recommend Lydia enough, especially for vintage styled shoots, but I'm pretty sure she'd adapt to any style of shoot.

I look forward to working with her again.

She is friendly, matter-of-fact and eager, working hard and tirelessly to get the shots as perfect as possible, with plenty of ideas herself in achieving the shots required. Lydia travelled down to the sticks to model some corsets from an amazing designer. This lady has such a cool vibe, somewhere between classic hollywood and moody riot grrl and she can carry off so many different looks with that.

I've worked with Lydia so many times before but that's because I bloody love it. She has evolved so much whilst retaining the essence of her own individuality through whatever look you ask of her.

She understands her body and face well and always strives for the best shot, even if you are lacing her to death in crazy corsets.

Totally 100% recommend!
