CURRENT STATUS; Unfortunately, I have become so busy with my cosmetic tattoo work/ facials etc that I have put my more creative makeup work on the back burner for the time being. Because of this, I've also not replaced kit, so my makeup kit is very low at the moment. I'm unable to accept any work/ TFP for the time being. I hope to be able to resume my creative make-up work in the future.
I worked as an art & dance teacher until I retrained as a make up artist. I love using my artistic skills and can create a variety of looks from natural beauty to avant garde. I have also completed a retro & vintage hair course so I'm able to offer some hair styling. The headdresses I use are my own creations and are unique, often using items which are very old.
Much of my make up experience to date (15+ years) has been for theatre/performance/dance. I love images which are imaginative with references to magic, mystery and the past... I like there to be suggestions of storytelling and narrative.
I'm reliable & enjoy collaborations. I'm open to the ideas of others and I like working with creative people who have a professional attitude towards teamwork. I will always give 100% to make every shoot successful.
More recently I've picked up a camera again so I can offer a days TFP shoot for portfolio building with new models or with experienced models who want to add something in my style to their portfolio. I'm really enjoying creating hair, makeup and photography with models who may need confidence building as well as experience in front of the camera. Models can use any of my unique headdress creations and I welcome your ideas with styling.
I have been very fortunate with most of my TFP work however I will challenge people who are not professional about TFP agreements (hence the one negative feedback). Be upfront & professional & we'll get along perfectly!
A few notes on TFP;
* If my casting states it's a collaboration, please do not apply if you intend to ask for payment.
* I give freely of my time and skills, in makeup, design and photography. I spend so long on planning, preparation, making the props as well as the time on the shoot, then cleaning, replacing and editing. There are costs in products as well as time commitment. There's a lifetime of learning & developing involved in creating the idea and bringing it to life... I know that this is the same for all creative souls.
I ask that designers, models & photographers show they value my work by communicating if there are any problems and commitments cannot be met by the date agreed. Please credit my work when it is used.
* I think that cropping photos without asking the photographer is not acceptable.
