Oh my goodness. What an awesome space! From the outside you don’t realise how big this studio is inside!
Tim was an absolute gem! I messaged via Instagram having been recommended this studio by El Mae, and I’m so glad I/she did! It was a last minute request and Tim’s response was so quick which I really appreciated.
The studio has a huge, curved infinity cove corner. Haha, that was a mouthful! It is a fantastic place to model, I really had a great time. I shot here with photographer Gary Stuart. The results we got were stunning. The lighting available and the posing box and the infinity cove were perfect for what we wanted to shoot. There is plenty of natural light too, lots of windows all around but also blinds if you don’t want natural light. The massive size of the wall allowed for us to get great angles and not have to worry about filling in the background. I have had to do this many times when a backdrop doesn’t touch the ceiling. I have to be careful with how I pose and be wary of having my arms up as photographers say “please put your arms down a bit I can’t get you all in.” I did not have to worry about this at all here and was able to pose freely which I loved. We were able to set up lighting from lots of directions to get some stunning shots. Especially with the experimental material movement shots. As I was throwing it around the infinity wall was perfect for that.
The studio has a kitchen for teas/coffees etc. I think there was an oven too! The studio was lovely and warm, and the changing room had a large mirror, desk, stools, shelf unit a clothing rail with plenty of hangers which was soooo good for hanging my stuff to show Gary.
I’m just so happy I managed to get booked in at LightSpaceLeeds. I am very happy with the shots we got and I cannot wait to edit and share.
