My first shoot with John himself at his studio!

He messaged me to enquire about shooting and was very clear in his pre-shoot comms, so i knew what to expect from the shoot.

On the evening, he was already organised with setting up his studio and we had a great time experimenting with various outfits and light set-ups, capturing a hollywood, film noir feel.

John is very easy to work with, he is patient, takes time to get the shot right (and shooting tethered you can see exactly whats going on, how to improve etc). Conversation flowed and i would not have any hesitation recommending him

Studio owner John was kind enough to recommend me to a couple of other photographers and so they booked me at the studio.

Private changing room, with lighting and mirror, breaks as needed and kept topped up with tea :) Looking forward to returning, especially as just so local!

Had a shoot here with another photographer (Marchhare) and it went very well. Studio is well equipped and John the owner is very helpful but does not impose on shooting.Yes I would reccommend the studio.

My first time working at this studio and its super convenient as its so local to me! Studio owner John was really helpful, ensured the studio was a good temperature and happy to help out with any queries, but didnt impose on the shoot.

I shot with John and also John Wilderspin today at the lovely Rainbow Studio.

Our shoot was 1940s Hollywood glamour (Veronica Lake being our inspiration). Our time absolutely flew by in between chats, laughter and sandwiches lovingly prepared by John himself.

We tried different signature poses and different items of clothing to best capture this wonderful actress and her style with our own touch. From what I saw off the back of the camera we did just that.

I would thoroughly recommend John and his studio. I had a wonderful time.

What an awesome Photographer! I got to work with the two Johns at Rainbow Studio photography with SubEnchantress on a Veronica Lake / Hollywood themed photoshoot. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The whole team worked incredibly well together. Professional and fun! I particularly enjoyed John's eye for detail and persistence in creating perfect lighting to get an authentic look to the photos. I thoroughly recommend working with Rainbow Studio photography and would love the opportunity to do so again in future.

Visited John and the studio for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful time.

Pre shoot comms was easy and quick to reply helping to prepare for our shoot. John is new to cosplay style photography but was eager to learn and bring as much know how to the table resulting in some fantastic shots. Very excited to see all the results!

Friendly and professional throughout and very welcoming. The snack and drinks provided was much appreciated for the day.

Studio has a changing area which is private and a comfortable little space for doing make up and changing outfits.

Definitely look forward to working together again and would recommend to others.

John Wilderspin

A third shoot at the new Rainbow studios in Chatteris but the first "proper" one as the other two were really trials with John to make sure everything was fully operational.

The studio has plenty of equipment for us photographers to play around with and whilst not large, it is possible to shoot in two directions. The dressing room area is very well equipped with plenty of room for a MUA to be in attendance as well as the model.

I have already booked a number of dates with John covering the remainder of the year and look forward to going over there again in a couple of weeks for my next shoot. John is very knowledgeable with lighting, so would be able to assist those photographers looking for help and I know he would welcome enquiries from other local photographers and/or models.

What a lovely bank holiday I have had today! I got the chance to shoot with John today at his wonderful new Rainbow studio in Chatteris.

John is very friendly, very courteous and a funny sense of humour. I really enjoyed working with him.

He set up a beautiful 1950’s lighting Rembrandt style and had a fabulous mottled backdrop too which complemented everything well. I was really happy with the outcome!

Thank you so much for having me today! I would love to come back again soon if you can put up with me again haha!

It was great shooting at the Rainbow Studio for the first time. I felt the space was very professional and I loved the way John made me feel at ease. The changing space was great, and I was able to sort out my look with ease. They were good at direction and I look forward to hopefully working with him again. 😃

What a pleasure it was to work with John! Easy going, professional, fun to chat to and knew his stuff when it came to the photography ;) Great pre-shoot communication and really well organised. Looked after me well with drink and sandwiches. We had a good laugh and i think from what I sore, got some fab shots- can't wait to see the edits and am looking forward to working together on another shoot within the next few months. :)

Just got home from a lovely shoot with John.

This is my second shoot with him and his friend together and what a delight they are.

So friendly and welcoming, even cups of tea and sandwiches were included :)

John knows all the right lighting and equipment to use, got a good eye for lighting up the hair.

Would recommend to anyone, it's been a pleasure x
