I had my 2nd photo processing 1-1 with Lena today. Lena is such a fantastic educator whether it's tutoring in shooting, modeling or processing images.

Over the two sessions, we have covered the basics of the complete photo processing workflow from Lightroom to Photoshop and final delivery. She has a rare skill of being able to take a complex subject and break it down and explain it in a simple and memorable way.

Lena has done an amazing job of giving me the confidence to start processing my studio images. In the short time I have been working with Lena I have learned so much from basic studio lighting and colour theory through to getting images ready for export. I can't wait for the next session.

Had a wonderful workshop hosted by Lena today about colours. it was a great small group shoot and everyone workedl together all pitching in making it a fun event to attend. I myself learnt a great deal from Lena about the key subject colours and we did around 9 sets in all working with the wonderful molly as our model on the day. I thoroughly enjoyed Lena’s colour wheel based workshop run at Fareham Studio earlier today, very interesting and thought-provoking especially as a boy who really enjoys b&w!

I usually run a mile from group shoots and multi person workshops having been to a few that have descended into rugby mauls of photographers all trying to simultaneously get “that image” - nothing to worry about here as Lena very gracefully controlled the group with all imagist getting their fill in randomized order, overall very well organized and run indeed.

I learned a thing or two and was (as usual) dazzled by Molly modeling.

100% recommended.

Creative Colour workshop.

This was my 2nd workshop with Lena Selkin Photography.

The workshop was really well organised and limited to 4 photographers.

With a small group, we were able to cover a lot of content and We all got equal time to shoot 1-1 with the amazing Molly-Mae.

Rin is extremely knowledgeable, super creative and has a real love and passion for photography and it comes through in her teaching. The content of the workshop was really well thought out and delivered in a fun and engaging way.

I can't wait for the next workshop and 1-1 tuition sessions.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Lena at Fareham Studio and what a fantastic few hours we had!

Her communication was spot on and she had some great visions for styling (no surprise with her fabulous experience!). She made me feel so comfortable and welcome throughout the shoot, I couldn’t fault any part of it.

Lena is a true professional, I’m already looking forward to our next shoot together 😊 I couldn’t recommend her enough..!

Lena agreed to act as stylist / second shooter / HMUA / assistant / coffee-picker-upper on a shoot I had organised in London with another model. She was proactive with comms beforehand helping to pair items I had sourced from designers with suitable accessories, arrived on time and full of energy, and really helped to realise the ideas I was trying to shoot.

She helped the model with some of the trickier outfits and made sure we were showing the designers' clothes in their best light - literally, in some cases, by helping me with lighting setups and staging the set, and even suggesting poses to the model which would make the most of the location we were in.

I'm very pleased to have hired Lena, she definitely levelled-up the results I got from the shoot, and I can't wait to work with her again!

Had the opportunity to attend the One Light workshop last Sunday.

Was a little nervous as this was only my second time in a studio. I never should have worried. Between the relaxed atmosphere and generous constructive instruction I was able to get, I think, some really good images.

The choice of model, Mollymaecosplay, was spot on too. Each photographer had plenty of time to get their images. Gentle persuasion to try new ways of doing things led to a really pleasant and worthwhile session.

There were hints of more sessions to come and I can’t wait !

Had a lighting workshop today with Lena who was brilliant at helping out with studio lighting setups and building confidence in teaching how various light positions, poses and composition all works to produce better images.

Would highly recommend going to any workshops that Lena runs as I'm sure you will learn a lot. Would love to work with her in the future

I took part in my first workshop with Lena at Fareham Studio called One Light Magic.

Well, it certainly lived up to its name!

Lena is an incredibly talented photographer as well as an amazing teacher.

She is such a lovely person and is really good at explaining and demonstrating lighting, composition and anything else to do with photography and modeling in a fun and engaging way. In the short time I have known Lena she has had a massive impact on my photography development. I can't thank her enough and look forward to working with her again soon.

I've shot with Lena Selkin so many times! This time I modelled for her giving a lighting tuition session to a photographer new to studio lighting and it was amazing to see how knowledgeable and talented she is. The way she works with and understands light is incredible. The other photographer got some lovely shots thanks to Lena.

If you are a model and have the chance to shoot with this amazing women then grab it, if you are a photographer wanting to up your lighting game I highly recommend her tutorials!

Had a very informative tutorial from Lena on the use of coloured gels in studio portrait photography.

This was a 1-2-1, and for me the best way to have a knowledge transfer. We chose a few sample images as starting points and went to use similar lighting to create new images.

Lena is a good tutor, and I felt I had learnt a lot more in three hours than watching endless YouTube tutorial videos. It's the interactivity that scores.

Her Fareham Studio is very well equipped, especially for the gel shoots.

We progressed through several very different lighting sets and I came away feeling that I had really learnt something new.

And thanks also to Kate Lilleyman (https://purpleport.com/portfolio/katelilleyman/) for being a patient model during the tutorial session.

I would highly recommend Lena if you want to learn some new studio lighting technique.

Everything I have to say about Lena has been said a million times over, I absolutely adore working with her. The kindest, most creative soul you'll ever meet, full of smiles and amazing ideas. It was amazing to work with her again after two super successful shoots, every shoot gets better and better. An absolute joy to work with. I can't wait to see what magic we can come up with next time!

I have always wanted to meet Lena. She is a very talented photographer and a very beautiful model. As a result I went all the way from Cambridge to Fareham as I knew that we will create something really good

Lena was very welcoming to her studio and met me with a cuppa. She was very pleasant and efficient: every lighting and setup have been made in minutes. She just know her lighting so well. I really liked her creativity: she hand-painted a beautiful textured background, for one of our sets she used gels and glass and in general she had created beautiful sets in her studio.

Lena is a very professional and chill photographer with a massive level of creativity. Would always recommend her as a great artist to work with

I had to most excellent shoot and time at Lenastudios. As soon as I walked into the shoot it felt inviting and warm and a nice atmosphere.

There are loads of facilities that made me feel at home and comfortable.

I was given some beautiful sets to work against and was given superb direction.

I got to model at her amazing studio, which she has put so much thought into and uses masterfully! We flowed through a number of ideas, sets, and different lighting with Lena bringing great starting points to build on with mutual input. I felt respected and considered in the whole process and could also put my full trust in her when I was trying new poses and looks.

The range of images she captured is incredible and the final shots are spectacular!!! Whole-heartedly recommended :-)

It was an utter thrill to shoot with Lena at the most recent Studland Weekender. I was fortunate enough to work with her, alongside Rogue, in a sumptuously cinematic shoot that is among my very favourites this year. She is as skilled as she is creative, able to conjure shots out of thin air, with a magical ability to shape light and sculpt a scene. If you haven't worked with her, you need to remedy this situation immediately, because she's simply brilliant.
