References for Lauran

I worked with this lovely gentleman for the first time during my tour of the Netherlands this year: Lauran had teamed up with John Herm (whose studio we worked in) and another photographer on a shared shoot so we had the benefit of great studio facilities right where we needed them: but then did the shooting time complete one-to-one which always works best so you are able to develop a lovely working rapport. :) And we sure did too!

Lauran is an extremely well-mannered and easy-going guy... The whole day was well planned and organised anyway, but the atmosphere was very enjoyable and I felt that even when we were not shooting (having a cup of tea for example!) there was a lovely positive environment with so much chatter going on and just a great social vibe one top of the great creativity that was happening. Lauran is very easy to get along with; so models of all levels and experiences would have a very nice time working with him and hopefully find it just as easy to bounce off each other as I did. :D He conducts himself with a professional approach and was kind/respectful towards me at all times. We even got chatting about working together at a future opportunity on an event that he had connections for. Of course with the joyful time I had working with Lauran: working together again would be an absolute pleasure. :)

The images we created on the day were very varied and innovative: we played with different specific setups and lighting to create a shot that was story telling sometimes... Or edgy in another instance. :D The yield was very high indeed and we were on a roll. Lauran has a great eye for an image and was totally involved in throwing ideas my way and giving me something to then model from and express in my posing. He is very clearly passionate about his photography and this shows very much when you are working together and witnessing the enthusiasm and active-thinking first-hand. :) The images that we were getting looked lush - and Lauran has now even processed some which look stunning with the finished touch!

I just can’t believe how fast the day went also... I think because we got stuck into creating and had the harmonious working wavelength from start to finish; the time just seemed to fizzle away haha - I sign that you’re having fun though right?!
