Shadows and LIght

This was my first time working with a MUA and all I can say is that I hope they are all as good as Lorraine. She was recommended to me by Cariad and having sent some very specific pre-comms about the concept I had in mind Lorraine absolutely nailed it on the day. Not only that but she was easy to work with, didn't take forever and was always on hand to touch up and generally assist which was very much appreciated. And to top it all Lorraine is great company so I can whole heartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a top quality MUA for their shoot.

I feel like I am one of the luckiest girls on PP :) I have had the delight of working with Lorraine on countless projects over the course of 4 years!

It is because of Lorraine that I joined all those years ago and found a real passion for modelling, I owe a great deal of my adventures to this wonderful woman. As you can imagine, we have become good friends and I honestly couldn't imagine what life would have been like if our paths had never crossed.

I came back to Wales recently to work with Lorraine on a new personal project of hers and she has also turned her hand to photography. Where does this ladies talent end!! Quick answer. It Doesn't!

I am so happy with what we achieved in our shoot and I cant wait to come back and work with her again and again and again :)

Had the opportunity to shoot with Lorraine last week and I was so excited given that it was my first body painting shoot!

Lorraine is an absolute pleasure to work with, she is friendly and incredibly kind - she picked me up from the station - and made me feel so at ease! To find someone who is skilled at both body painting and photography is rare. Her headdress and accessories making skills are unreal, and the attention to detail is amazing!

Lorraine gives good and clear direction so it was very easy to understand and replicate what she was trying to capture!

Very excited by the images that she’s sent already! And cannot wait to work with her again in the near future!!

I was lucky enough to be a part of the first ever Glastonbury Body Painting Event, and Lorraine was one of the Artists there, and despite her not being the artist that I worked with directly, I was so blown away by her art on Tonia (also on PP) that I needed to leave a reference. It was easily my favourite paint of the day - that wasn’t my own, of course. ;)

The accessories and attention to detail was astounding and the end result has ended up in several popular news papers and articles related to the event.

Once again she produced a mind blowing piece of art which really rocked the Public when they were allowed in to view the Cat Walk Show.

I worked with this wonderful woman at the Glastonbury Body Art Festival.

She was an absolute gem to be around, created the most incredible costume work I've seen with my eyes; and made me feel a million dollars with paint & handcrafted costume pieces she had created prior to the event.

She had 8 hours, along with 28 other artist to create a master piece fit for photograph & runway. She was incredible, always composed and not letting the pressure of the day get to her/show; she made me feel completely comfortable and ensured I was just as happy with the costume as she was.She is a perfectionist, but of the best kinds as she gets it done smoothly and surprisingly quick for the stunning outcome.

She was completely clear with what she wanted out of photographs and was extremely good at helping the photographer find the best image by altering costume, she was able to give quick clear instructions to me this enabling us to capture the image with the feel she & the photographer wanted.

Her application of makeup, bodypaint and materials is absolutely flawless. She is also so gentle to work with and a joy for any model to be around. Each result and project she puts her heart and soul into, working tirelessly to get the client their dream shot. I worked with the amazing Lorraine again with Banbury Photography (Jay and Lorna) for 2 days in January recently! We have worked together a handful of times before and I just love the atmosphere when we are all together- we sure do make the dream team- and every shoot is just so enjoyable and magical.

Lorraine is without a doubt one of the most talented bodypainters and artists I have worked with in my modelling career. She is easily witihin the top 5% of people I have been extremely lucky to have met who is so passionate and dedicated to her work. She is an artist in the purest form- extremely hardworking, super creative, intelligent and amazing at her craft. She also makes the most amazing props for the shoot and goes above and beyond what is expected. Her bodypainting and application is flawless- I always feel in safe hands- and she is so gentle applying makup and material to the skin its so appreciated. I have sensitive eyes, but with Lorraine I barely felt a thing! She really is magic.

Aside from this, she is a truly amazing person- so down to earth, humble and kind. I love her company and she alwasy makes me smile and feel like a friend. Thankyou for a lovely few days and I really hope to work with you all again soon! :) Helen x

Finally after two years i final worked with the fabulas and talentive lorraine on a full body painted ,she produce a faboulas paint on second choice model who came in at last min and still creative a wonderful design to suit the model would loved to work with her again

I had the enormous pleasure and good fortune to meet and work with Lorraine. I have often heard her name and have always admired her work on Purple Port and Facebook. However, today I had the opportunity to see Lorraine at work.

It was a full body painting shoot at my Studio. It was the first time I had seen a Model prepared and painted for a shoot from start to finish. I was absolutely enthralled and astonished at the quality of Lorraine’s work. Every brush stroke was meticulously applied and every dab of paint was put on so skilfully. I also noticed Lorraine’s rapport with the model. It was second to none. Lorraine would keep making sure her subject was comfortable and warm and at ease with what she was creating. On a personal not I found Lorraine to be friendly obliging and bubbly through out the call. Also, you could see how much she was enjoying what she was doing. This reflected in the Model and making a good shoot into a great shoot. Thank you once again Larraine for a lovely day. There is always a Studio at this end of the world if you ever need one and that comes with a very warm welcome.

Wow!!! Where do I begin! Lorraine is so AMAZING! Had the absolute pleasure of being painted for a shoot, by this wonderful lady. Pre - communications was impeccable. Before the shoot took place I had a rough idea what Loraine was going to do and what to bring.

Not only is Lorraine an amazing body painter she also designs and made everything I wore on the shoot by hand. What she managed to make was incredible. Lorraine definitely has a special gift and a creative eye. When body painting Lorraine is quick, precise with application and knows exactly what she is doing. The results was mind blowing. She also has a heart of gold:).

I would jump at another chance to work with this lady. Thank you so much for everything. Highly recommended!

I was over the moon to be invited back again to work together with one of my favourite team of people- which included the AMAZING Lorraine who did the bodypaint and creative designs of the sublime creatures I was on the day(s) booked- along with talented photographer Jay Banbury and his amazing wife, assistant, creative extraordinaire and mummy of the group Lorna!

We all whizzed through a range of sublime creations which had taken the team so much effort, thought and planning to put together, which were executed beautifully. The day and a bit flew by and before I knew it, Ihad to go home again :( BUT much to their delight, I did keep my bodypaint on from my last shoot with the team, which as you can imagine, driving back from Wales to Bristol was hilarious in broad daylight! I had the MOST entertaining drive of my life, with people doing double takes (I looked like a green goblin driving behind the wheel of my car!) and had passengers of other vehicles even videoing me driving, it was hilarious!

If you want a memorable shoot to cherish for many years in future, no matter what age you are, then these people are really the dream team to work with. Not only that, but they are extremely kind, considerate and professional, whilst being very down to earth and approachable.

I just wanted to say that Lorraine is the most perfect bodyartist to work with- she puts SO much effort, planning, time, blood sweat and tears into the design of the work and project she is working on- nevermind then spending many hours patiently applying it on the day with such patience and precision that I could never have! She is also very patient and gentle to work with, a super kind and sweet person-and rather like a big sister you want to take home or keep in your pocket! She is also extremely thoughtful and as she knew I had sensitive skin and went to a great effort to source special products for the application during the shoot.

Thankyou Lorraine, you are one in a million and a truly amazing artist in everyway!

I hope we work together lots in the future, thankyou for such a lovely, fun, inspiring, creative shoot and experience working with you all. I truly wish every shoot was as lovely as yours.x

What to say about Lorraine! We worked together again after a year apart with the fantastic Jay and Lorna Banbury. We had an amazing couple of days together and Lorraine worked tirelessly on many designs for the team. Not only is she such a talented makeup artist and body artist, but also a truly lovely person to be around. One of those people you feel you have known alot longer, so approchable, kind and a pleasure to work with in every way!

The second day of working together Lorraine created an amazing Lizard which took at least 5 hours with bodypainting and application- It was absolutely sensational! You would never ever guess that

Lorraine hasn't had professional training- some people are just naturally super talented and this lady is one of them.

We had such great banter and the shoot was full of laughter throughout the two days, it really was the most fantastic start to the year for me!

Lorraine comes super highly recommended- If you get the chance to work with her, then take it! Really hope we don't leave it a year this time and look forward to the next, Helen x

Lorraine approached us about working with her and some friends on a shoot, having seen her work and discussing the ideas we had to be involved. Lorraine made the main outfit and did all the make up on the day before we arrived at the location, when they turned up we were blown away, incredible quality and detailed work and easy going personality makes me want to work with Lorranie again when the oppertunity strikes.

Wow! What can I say except that was defiantly one of my favourite shoots yet! Lorraine was fantastic and very incredibly easy to get along with.

I have wanted to work with her and Banbury since I joined purple port and I had the pleasure of working with both today! :) Lorraine has so much skill in body painting and is full of great ideas, I can't wait to see the images but alas I have to wait until August for it to be published.
