Kolokial Shots

I'm Ian. I'm a Headshot and Creative Portrait photographer based in South East Essex. I created the brand Kolokial Shots years ago and found that I love to play with light, for me it is the most important element of any photograph.

I use the term Creative portrait photographer because I'm not one for repetitive weddings, christenings or family shoots. I like to make images that people will display on walls, not stored on hard drives.

I'm very laid back and easy to work with, I'm always open to ideas to help build up an image, this helps everyone get the images we're after and sometimes can mean we end up with a completely different image to what we first imagined, but by building it together and keeping everyone involved as informed as possible we all go away with something we want to show off. I like to try and keep everyone in the loop, before during and after a shoot, so everyone is aware of what we're doing, where we're doing it, and how its going, it just makes life easier.

I love a challenge, when someone says "could we possibly try this (insert absurd idea here)" my brain immediately starts to process how it can be made possible.   

In short, I shoot people and they say thank you.
