Channelling Helmut Newton

I've been obsessed for some time with the cover image from Helmut Newton's SUMO book, and wanted to shoot my own inspired by the shadow, pose, and attitude of the original. But my take involved a dark-skinned model. I think he used a harder, possibly continuous light from the side with more contrast (easier on a white-skinned model). I'm clearly no Helmut Newton but I'm still pleased with this image.
