Managed to arrange a shoot with Derek while I was in Ireland. Despite needing to rearrange our initial planned shoot, he was very understanding about this.

It’s always nerve wracking working with a new photographer, especially when in a different country, but Derek is very easy to work with.

He knows the shots he wants to achieve and will happily direct as well as let you go with your own range of moves. He had great attention to detail and his communications are excellent. It’s just a shame our time was so limited as I think a longer shoot would have been ideal. Guess it means we just need to shoot again if I’m over this way!

Would happily recommend him to both experienced and new models.

I finally had my first shoot with Derek after discussing it for months. Had a little trip to Ireland and definitely intend to go back again. Derek was very specific about what he wanted to shoot and what I should bring which was very helpful. The shoot flowed effortlessly, he gave good direction, we got on well and I can't wait to see some pics from it as I'm sure they'll be great! Thanks Derek, hope to work with you again. Had a first shoot with Derek today it was such a pleasure! He came to my parents house in Galway where I'm staying this week and we shot outside in the garden and in a few rooms in the house.

Derek was the ultimate professional, very polite and patient. We sort of played it by ear and went with the flow during the day and we came up with some really stunning shots.

I highly recommend working with Derek and look forward to doing so again!
