I had another fantastic shoot with Katie Lou when she was back down in Manchester recently. I've now shot with Katie a few times over the years, and there's good reasons for why I continue to do so.

Katie Lou is, as you can see by her port, experienced, beautiful and talented. What you can't see/know until you meet her is that she is professional, hardworking, needs no direction, knows what looks good and how to pose - but on top of that she is intelligent, charming & lots of fun to work with.

Katie Lou is off to Oz for a while, so get to shoot her while you can - highly recommended to all photographers of all capabilities.

I've just returned from a shoot with Katie Lou at a studio in Darlington (photographybygs which I highly recommend).

Quite simply, Katie is a great model and she excels in every possible way.

First, Katie is a truly outstanding model. She has a wonderful figure, beautiful face, expressive eyes, a smile to die fo,r and fabulous eyes. You could not ask for more.

Second, Katie is the ultimate professional model. She knows what you want to achieve and she does it. Katie can do a million-and-one different poses and glide effortlessly from one pose to the next. She never tires and she put up with a rather cold studio (we were first in in the morning of a bitterly cold day).

Confidence is an important element in a model's character ... and Katie had plenty. There was no hint of awkwardness or embarrassment and that made working so relaxing and effortless for me.

So, I would recommend Katie to all photographers at all levels. She's great for the beginner because she knows how to pose, and she's even better for the experienced photographer because of her ability to implement your intentions.

I should also add that she has a very warm, friendly and approachable personality.

Finally, I should thank Gordon who set up the studio and gave me much valuable advice. Gordon is a first-class photographer and helped turn the shoot for a good shoot into a great shoot.

Take in the Alps

Alert: this model can act and has great capacity to realise all your wildest ideas. My goodness what a performance of expression and gesture she put on. This was one of my most enjoyable shoots to date. It was so damn exciting working with Katie in this incredible location - this castle. And why? Well because she was so responsive to everything: the surroundings; the clothes; my ideas; the light; the moment. What else could you possibly want? Katie is such a delightfully warm, authentic, mature, and gifted model. She thrives in an environment that challenges her. Her natural instinct to tell stories with the expressive and emotional possibilities her body gives her makes it easy for her to rise to that challenge. And boy does she work. She is intensely dedicated to achieving everything that is required of the shoot. On to it from the get go, I couldn’t have wished for more. Having already worked her socks off that morning on another shoot, she turned in another committed piece of work with literally no time off between shoots. I would always trust Katie to give everything to each shot whatever else was going on in her life.

Down to the specifics: the first set required her to walk down a vast stairway as if she was a star fleet queen. Within the opening shots she had already created a convincingly three dimensional sci-fi queen that had me and an assistant gasping in amazement. Her enthusiasm and passion for making the most of this wonderful location and these crazily hatched plots was highly contagious. She made the entire shoot feel like an adrenaline fuelled adventure in which we were the dream team - the only ones who could pull it off.

The next set had her changing into a geisha, alone in this vast space and with only a parasol to keep her company. So different from the first set and yet again she nailed her new character in the opening shot. As we proceeded she found even more psychological and emotional material to further her creation. What a star! Not only was every shot a gift because of the surroundings but was also gilt edged because of the brilliant posing she brought to it. Katie brings poise to every pose.

In the next set, with Katie in a pure silk peignoir, she again excelled, bringing majesty, mystery and a darkly beautiful aura to her persona. My lens couldn’t get enough of those eyes that sparkled with fire and the elan of life.

The final set followed my passion for afros and the exuberant spirit that is Donna Summer. Katie took it all in her stride, making the wig seem like her own hair and like all good actors used it as a springboard for creating a credible story that would draw the viewer in.

I felt like we’d created an amazing working rapport during the shoot. It was easily attained and highly satisfying to reflect upon. It made me feel great to be s photographer and to know that I had worked with a model of such high calibre.

I highly recommend Katie to all of you. You will have a star professional who is unstinting in her commitment to your ideas; a woman with great emotional depth that belies her youthful appearance; and a model joyous and passionate in her work and in the way she relates to people ... and a personality that will completely bowl you over.

Another shoot with this gorgeous, hilarious, genuinely lovely lady and I'm not bored yet! She did turn up slightly late but this was more than made up for by the way she threw herself into the shoot and worked like a trojan! We got all the content I wanted shot and she was still offering to stay and shoot more. Katie was brilliant with the other girls on the shoot, passing on tips, helping them out and helping to calm nerves. For someone so naturally beautiful she has absolutely no ego at all. She made everyone on the shoot laugh. I think she is impossible to dislike. I love working with her and most definitely will again.

Wow had the best shoot with Katie in a tiny apartment in Liverpool today it was a complete nightmare to shoot in - hot and cramped -but Katie was awesome and we got some amazing photos which I can't wait to share.

Katie is a lovely person to shoot because she has personality and a great sense of humour, she keeps herself in great shape and she tells me she does 10,000 steps everyday, well that seems to be working well mate!!

Communication was a doddle, and although her clothes pretty much stayed in the case she was well prepared for any looks.

I can't thank Katie enough for organising the shoot and I hope to see her again really soon - but maybe next time in the studio hey Katie?!!!

This is the fourth time I've shot with Katie, and hopefully I'll get to work with her again.

Katie is hardworking, well prepared, knows how to pose and what looks good - all with/without direction. As well as that she's great fun to work with, and we had a great time during the shoot, which comes across in the photos.

Thoroughly recommended, and I look forwards to working with Katie again in the future.

I had the pleasure of shooting some video sets with Katie. Katie was a pleasure to work with and we spent the first 30-45 minutes of the booking chatting and lost track of the time. She was receptive to ideas, and offered many ideas herself. I’d definitely recommend Katie and we hope to work together in the future.

Well, after along time away from the studio I arranged a shoot with Katie-Lou.

Communication between Katie and I was great before and after the shoot which helped immensely organising our time to work together.

Katie arrived on time and was very professional from the start and I was not disappointed with her creativity.

Katie brought a great selection of outfits for our four hour shoot at Loud & Flashy in Ashington.

The shoot went very well and Katie was very helpful throughout and I know I have a great selection of images to choose from.

The best thing about working with Katie-Lou is she’s honest, kind, thoughtful and very funny. She’s a fabulous model to work with and I look forward to working with Katie-Lou again in the future !

Had my first shoot with Katie today. It was a pleasure working with Katie as she is experienced, photogenic, fun and great to work with.

Katie’s pre communication was great, which made planning the shoot easy. Katie’s experience meant that she required Little to no direction on my part which resulted in plenty of great images in the time we shot together.

Katie was very professional, polite and fun to work with which made the time go very quickly. Katie came with a range of outfits and is very proficient at hair and make up which resulted in plenty of looks in the time we shot.

I look forward to working with Katie again and recommend to all photographers.
