Katie Dervin

I started off as a music photographer taking photographs of live bands and taking editorial portraits of musicians for local newspapers and magazines. Since then I have expanded to fine art wedding photography and fashion photography, I love photographing people and working as part of a team on a shoot it gives me a real buzz. 

I'd describe myself as a Fashion - Wedding - Editorial photographer. I enjoy all of these genres for different reasons, I love the creativity and team work that pulls a good fashion shoot together. The emotion and meaning on meeting couples that are about to get married and then handing them over their photographs, that will treasured for life times is a great honour. Editorial photography can be exciting. You can end up meeting up with the most amazing people at the most random places! Oh and I love getting into gigs and festivals for free, that part with never get old! My ambition is to develop my artistic skills is all of these areas and be a better photographer today than I was yesterday. 

Away from the camera I love live music, getting out doors, taking my handsome little dog for a walk (he sometimes even 'assists' on shoots) and spending time with my fiends whether it's getting together with a big pot of food and some wine or partying until the early hours of the morning. I feel connected to the planet and environment about and I'm very much about sharing skills and knowledge putting some positive energy out there. Because what you put out you get back, yo!  ;)
