Kate Lapina

Hi, I’m Kate.

I am a passionate photographer originating from Riga, Latvia. My story began behind the camera many years ago starting from taking photos of family and friends on my film camera. With digital cameras development I continued my photography journey taking mostly cityscapes and landscapes during my travels. Last year I did 365 days challenge on Instagram during which I realised that I enjoy very much meeting new people and connecting with them to capture something special of who they are. I love to show a different and beautiful side of each individual.

I have done portrait, street, life style, fashion and also events including the London Fashion Week and ComiCon.

From a solid foundation in classic portraits I am also excited to explore contemporary themes and techniques to keep my creative vibe alive. I love capturing emotions and in my work I always aim to tell a story. My style includes both colour and black & white images.

My shooting style is vibrant and relaxed with a healthy dose of fun. I have experience working in a studio with artificial lights or on location and outdoors with natural light.

I am looking for paid work, collaboration, build a network and challenge myself to experiment with new techniques. I also work with models on a TFP basis, to help build their portfolios whilst adding to mine and experiment with new themes.

I am based in London but willing to travel for work.  I am reliable, punctual and come well prepared for the shoot.
