I shot with John over the weekend in the Lake District. What an amazing photographer!! The sort of shoot we had planned was a shoot like nothing I'd done before..John was very knowledgable about the area and what we were going to do. John is a lovely man..made me feel really comfortable and was really good company. I got some AMAZING shots from this shoot and am over the moon. I would definitely recommend John to other models he definitely knows his stuff. REALLY looking forward to shooting with John again..just prayingn for nice weather😂😜

I met and shot with john a few weeks back and wow I had a great shoot, john was great at pre comms and comms during shoot where also great, super comfortable and respectful. John had great ideas, creativity and direction. John is a joy to work with and i look forward to our next shoot(in the making).

Last month I had an impromptu shoot with John as part of a very informal day out with another fellow photographer to the lakes. He was suuuuper knowledgeable of the area which led to some amazing locations which we were lucky enough to be shown round!

To say we'd come out for a bit of a wander, we got some beautiful shots which I really love and add something new and natural to my portfolio - John was really relaxed, easy going, pleasure to shoot with.

Can't recommend too highly - great photographer :)

Third/ fourth time working with John. I think that in itself speaks volumes! John is one of my favourite photographers to work with because he is extremely good. He has his own style which I find very unique. Shooting with him is always full of Banter and good laughs. One think to note in particular with John is that he is very good with working to what levels you're comfortable with, he's extremely respectful!

On this shoot, we decided to camp out at a forest in Lancashire and shoot as the sun was coming up. I had the luxury of falling in the river, fully clothed, 3 minutes after us arriving and then 7 hours of standing it in afterwards for the shoot! It was great fun, I would really recommend working with him!

I think John is one of the very few photographers I would genuinely trust to do such a thing, he's extremely professional in what he does and I felt very at ease.

He's very much a perfectionist, has a good eye for great shots and his photographs always turn out amazing.

10/10 would recommend for anyone reading.

I did a shoot with John prior to me joining PP - but 3 words to describe him - Respectful, Professional, Energetic. I felt comfortable around him the entire duration of the shoot and I really love the photographs he did for me.

I worked with John as an Assistant on a shoot near Coniston yesterday. The weather was good and we had Kitty (aka Dragon Fly tamer) to shoot who I had brought with me. We shot in several different locations and helped John with Lighting sometimes in tricky places. John certainly knows his stuff and it was a privilege to assist and watch him at work. The day just went so fast and before we knew it the time was over and had to pack up and hit the road again. Time flies when you’re having fun!

I hope to work with John again soon and make use of the location for longer!

Attended an outdoor lighting course run by John up in the woods of Lancaster.

An excellent day. John mad a huge effort in all the prep work even down to loads of drinks munchies and a barbecue.

The day started with john explaining all the ins and outs of actually arranging the shoot, locations, supplies what to bring what to look for etc.

Then we got down to the nitty gritty of actually shooting. John explained things very efficiently and down to earth so very easy to understand.

A range of different locations where used around the woods. Last thing was our own set up...each individual member chose there spot, position of lights etc etc so we all came away with a unique image to us.

All in all a very enjoyable day, learned loads and got images in the bag too. Highly recommended from me and will definitely be going on another course that he runs.

Flash Bang Wallop

Very informative workshop executed with military precision...I like that. I had the feeling I was being taken care of which you dont get often.

Learned tons of stuff and I'm really looking forward to trying this for myself once my gammy knee decided to get better.

Thanks for putting it on John - I do realise how much hard work goes on behind the scenes.

Great value - highly recommend Johns workshops. He does actually go the extra mile.

Had a last minute shoot with john and his workshop attendees and all i can honestly say is wow not onky did i have a fanstic day with some great image results i think ive made a friend.

Ladies and gents if you get the chance to work with john do not pass it up such a lovely talented gent. Made me feel so at ease, and whilst being incredibly professional we had a great laugh.

I finally got to meet John on a lighting workshop he organised and I was very happy with the experience!

He was very organised and his laid-back, easy-going personality meant that we were able to relax and take in his information and advice.

It was a great day spent in fantastic company, I came away with some great picture and I highly recommend John and his ability to deliver a quality programme.

I had really admired a set of John's recent river shots and was especially pleased when he told me he was thinking of offering a workshop to show how he acheived it. I told him I'd definitely sign up. Last weeks meet was a kind of dummy run to help formulate the topics he can offer.

Very laid back but extremely informative, John is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the camera and lighting. He opened my eyes to the great outdoors and the wonderful things you can do with a couple of lights and a reflector.

I'm really looking forward to the next one at the end of July. I'm already signed up!

When John first asked me to do a shoot with him I pretty much snapped his hand off. The quality of his outdoor shoots are second to none and I was more than keen to get him to make me look as awesome as all the other models he has shot.

Pre shoot communications were excellent and I felt totally prepared on the day. His enthusiasm for his subject is also catching so I Knew we would be in for an awesome shoot. What I hadn't realised is what a great fella he is. I don't think I have laughed so much from beginning to the end of the day. I recommend John wholeheartedly if you want amazing pics for your portfolio, if you want a fun day out or just to learn a thing or two.

I had a fantastic location shoot with John yesterday,location was brilliant,plenty to do while we were there with FlashBangWallop. He was polite and easy to commuicate with,had a fun shoot which always makes time fly. I saw a few of the images during the shoot and was very happy with them,he is a great photographer. I hope I get the chance to work with him again :)

I have been planning to do this shoot with John since last year as I didn't want to do it with anyone else. But as with any location shoot, it was dependent on the right weather. This year we did it and I wasn't disappointed. John new exactly the kind of image I had in my brain and the result was beautiful.

He was very professional, his communication before and after was excellent and I look forward to working with him again sometime.

The location he had scouted was perfect for the shoot which was based on Milais' painting of 'Ophelia'. The location was large enough for us to shoot with another photographer and we took full advantage of the day shooting with each other.

John brought supplies in the way of a barbecue and, unlike most barbecues I have been too it was perfect and he didnt poison me - bonus.

So, I got great images, great comms, he's an awesome guy to work with AND I got fed and watered. Nothing more I could ask for.

Thanks for such a great day. It felt like fun, not work x

John and I have chatted many times over the last year, met once or twice too.

But we actually got to shoot together for the first time just the other day.

John had scouted and found the location, and we hatched a plan to bring 2 models, and shoot some stuff. So we did just that.

Communicating with John is always professional and polite, very easy to get along with, and although we did enjoy the day, with some of our own brand of funny, I know I had a great day.

So thank you to John for a great location, a mean burger, and letting me tag along with 2 beautiful ladies.

Well apart from hanging onto his hat despite everyone saying it looked better on me, and dropping a sausage in the river, John was great fun and great to work with, the few pics I've seen so far are jsut great and can't wait to see more. I'd definitely recommned kaoooootiaahhhggrrghhhh erm John and would love to shoot with him again x

I attended LPS in Lancaster and John's presentation about Flash techniques and systems. I found this very informative and thought inspiring. I will look forward to working with John in the future on the Group Shoots and learning some more from him.
