Shot with John today for the first time and it's safe to say it certainly won't be the last!

John is extremely professional, kind and an all round gentleman. Our 5 hour shoot flew by and we had a laugh whilst getting some great shots.

I would recommend this photographer no matter what experience/ confidence levels you have as he's reassuring, very accomodating a lovely person to be around.

We've already started planning our next shoot which I look forward to. I wholeheartedly recommend.

It was my third shoot with Jonny the other day and we have loads more yet to come! He booked me for 6 hours but it flew by! We shot firstly in a derelict building and he always made sure I was safe and comfortable, not taking too long to shoot as it was quite cold and windy. We then shot at his home studio and he has loads of cool ideas! I was particularly blown away by one of his sets which looks as though you’re in a painting on the wall, I thought that was very clever and makes for interesting concepts. Very much looking forward to working with him again and highly recommend! His passion for photography shines through and you will never get a boring shot!

Savage shoot! :D Abso-bloody-lutely amazeballs... A day on location with this gentleman was a true blast in every sense, and one I would happily repeat any day. What a ledge!

John and I had chatted a little while before about shooting; but a combination of things including matching up schedules/me travelling at the time and being slow with admin/and then of course - Covid... We’d not managed to arrange anything. But; having emerged on this side of the pandemic with guidelines once again allowing us to work outside - we took the plunge and went for it! Communications with John were great as we chatted quite in-depth about what he wanted to achieve and he expressed thought on things like weather: which I could then reassure over in the sense that I’m a very strange Yorkshire person who dances in the rain! 😂 I felt it was quite productive just getting to discuss these things prior to working together: it definitely broke the ice for sure, and (I feel) but a lot of positive reassurance at the foundations of our “shoot-to-be!”

So; the date of the adventure arrived and the first and foremost plan was to head to the derelict brickworks near me. John has his heart set on this site and put so much thought and effort into coming up with fabulous creative ideas, and of course (as his name suggests!) cooking up some totally winning props that just gave us something totally different in a picture! :P This guy really does think outside the box... A cool location gives you a lot to work with simply on it’s own, but John goes that step further with his innovative thought process to create atmosphere and vibes galore in his images. This degree of inspired get-up-and-go makes a HELLUVA difference in what you subsequently produce in the camera. :D It also makes your models really rather excited to get in the zone with the themes haha! So thank you John for your super fun genius-thinking!

After the brickworks, we went on to shoot woodlands/waterfalls/rapids and pools! Again: at each site we really got a flow going where we bounced off one another (since John also really encourages his models to be a part of the thought process too) and the looks we were throwing out ranged from classic shapely nudes to more glamourised concepts and even ethereal... The yield was never ending, and even at the end of a very prolific day: I felt I could’ve gone on shooting with John for another 2 days and still got some fresh awesomeness in the bag. :)

Now not only did we hit it off with being blessed in the picture making... We got on like a house on FIRE! Gosh I don’t actually think we stopped talking! Ever! He’s such a lovely and well-mannered bloke who is just no effort to get on with at all. The whole day was a truly delightful social experience with someone who really does have a heart of gold and is a pleasure to enjoy the company of. John’s professional approach to shooting is also pure gold: he delivers all the respect you would hope to receive on a shoot and really looks out for/cares about the comfort of the model. If at any point we might not have been able to shoot nudes for example as hoped because people were about: John was TOTALLY cool about it. Literally, a harmonious and upbeat atmosphere took priority at all times; as such - I recommend John until the cows go home, and then come back out again! Top guy who bears a splendid sense of humour - to my fellow models: you’ll have a BLAST working with John.

Ohhh! Did I mention he’s a rather fine photographer too? Killer eye for the light and whole environment relative to the model doing their thing... His portfolio doesn’t feature the full extent of shoots John does, but if our shoot is anything to go by then I’m betting this guy has hard drives full of superb images of all these lovely models he’s worked with. :)

Before working with John, Will had told me that the shoot would be totally unique and he was not wrong! John joined myself and Will Newton on our recent Duo Acro day at York studio, he joined both for a group session and a following one-to-one session. During the Group John was great fun and lovely to work with, we shot a variety of acrobatic type images as lead by me and Will with some interesting and unique input from John, however during the one-to-one part I was mesmerised by John's ideas and his dedication to his art!

John had put so much work into MAKING props for the shoot, not just brining along more than i've ever seen but most of them were home made and incredible! John had me and Will creating some totally weird and wonderful works and I can't wait to see the results! It was a super fun shoot and I hope to work with John again in future!

Had another incredible shoot on Wednesday with John. John is always full of amazing ideas and shoot styles which makes him so much fun to work with, he brings a great energy to each shoot and makes me feel very comfortable whilst modelling.

Always a pleasure to work with and I couldn’t recommend him more. Hope to shoot many more times in the future.

Wow what an amazing day we had, it was my first shoot with John in his home studio with a circus backdrop he had made along with amazing props, we also went on location with an amazing fireeater, outstanding day amazing shoot, John is an amazing photographer and very professional and has a great relaxed and friendly manner (he also had the best chocolate biscuits in the world) 😂 xxx I would recommend John to any model and look forward to working with him again x xx

I’m so glad John came along to mine and Jessica’s group shoot as I have worked with John in the past and he is great, not only as a photographer but he is genuinely nice person who you can have a laugh with. He came prepared with his own ideas and clothing. He got along great with other photographers too and was able to help with lighting when needed. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up so we can shoot again! Highly recommend!

Had my 2nd shoot with John! The pre communication was again great, the ideas he had were clearly explained and I knew of the whole plan for the shoot & what to bring with me (including wellies!) John is very punctual, we had a great catch up on the way to whitby. The shoot went fantastic, he made sure I was comfortable throughout & even bought me a dressing gown to keep me warm in between shots! How kind :)

I certainly recommend working with John, its always a great shoot!

I worked with Jonny quit a bit last year so it was really nice to work together again.

We had a fantastic location day. Two beautiful locations which we tried our very best to sneak around. Jonny collected me from home and dropped me off. A real gentleman and a good laugh. Hes great at spotting the art of locations and what will work best in them. Working off each other for them bang on shots!

Looking forward our next shoot very soon :)

Had such a great shoot with John! Hes pre communication was excellent, i knew exactly what to bring for the shoot we have planned. I felt very welcomed and so did my chaperone. I felt very comfortable all shoot and we had some great laughs shooting swimwear! Would definitely recommend and cant wait to shoot with you again! :)

The most conscientious photographer I’ve worked with, was aware of fire breathing risks and made sure I was safe and comfortable. A very lovely and creative man. I had the best time shooting with Jonny.

When I arrived we had a chat about the plan for the day and I felt instantly at ease.

Jonny was very patient throughout the day, happily "trying again" when I felt my leg was too bent or my hands weren't right.

As a newbie to modelling and purpleport Jonny was very helpful, giving me all sorts of tips and advice!

I hope we can work together again!

Love having shoots booked with Jonny, this one today was very different we did a powder shoot/body paint. It went really well, organisation before hand was great as always Jonny always knows what he wants from the shoot and is always guiding you to get the perfect image. He’s such a lovely guy and makes you feel welcome aswel as at ease and are able to have a laugh, would highly recommend him already looking forward to our next shoot :) thanks again
