I had another portrait session with John in his studio as part of my week in Gloucestershire. Once again John was great company and the session was relaxed and enjoyable. John has a wonderful bold painting style and produced two impressive portraits from the sitting.

We were working in his studio where John regularly checked that I was comfortable, clearly communicated what poses he wanted me to hold, and was the epitome of a gentleman. Easy to get on with, I look forward to working with him again in 2022.

Our first shoot was very relaxed. John is very friendly but very professional and certainly know what result he wants to get. We had a few outfits and locations and John did work around all of them.

I had a short session with John today while I was moving from place to place on my tour. He immediately came across as warm and friendly and was very understanding of my needing to catch a specific train to make my connection.

He also allowed a break and made sure I had plenty of tea.

I found his process fascinating to watch and the results were really interesting.

I hope to work with him again in future.

I shot with John for the first time today!! Had a great time!!

John was great! Pre communications were perfect! Very easy to get the shoot organised!

He arrived right on time with no fuss a d we shot some images from him to paint from. He also came to me in order to make things easier for me which I really appreciated! John was very upfront about not being into photography and rather using it as a means to and end for his painting !

He was respectful and very friendly throughout! Really interesting and passionate too! I would happily shoot with John again and hope too!

Had my first shoot with John at his place in Cheltenham. He kindly picked me up from train stadion and droped me back.

He was very nice for me , he made me Coffee and Put rock n rock music :D he made sure I was warm enough .

I got my awesome picture with me now :D I am very pleased

Friendly host, made sure I was warm, took breaks as needed (so I didnt spend too long in one position) and awesome seeing myself in paint!

We also spent some time taking photos, blasting through a few outfit changes.

I finally got to work with John this week, after trying to arrange this for quite some time. He was very friendly and welcoming, and made me feel at ease straight away.

It was fascinating to watch him paint and also very inspiring to see how the picture changed and developed. With frequent refreshments and breaks, as well as interesting conversation, time just flew by. Can't wait to see the finished painting and really hope that we get to work together again in the future. Highly recommend. x

I had the pleasure of working with John after he contacted me through a casting call I had placed. John was kind enough to collect me from the train station. Once the session was completed he kindly took me back to the station. Communications were easy and the session was set up within the matter of minutes.

I was lucky enough to work with him at his home studio, surrounded by wonderful pieces of art work, (I had quite a few favourites) John explained clearly what he wanted to achieve during our session.

I found John friendly, talkative, interesting, very professional and respectful at all times. He ensured I was comfortable in the pose I was holding, that I was warm enough, and he made sure that there were breaks within the 2 hour session and he also provided refreshments. During the breaks I was able to see the blank canvas come to life with his painting.

I really enjoyed the time I spent modelling for John and I am looking forward to seeing the completed piece. I could have happily stayed for a few more hours. I highly recommend working with John and I would be more than happy to work with him again given the chance. Thank you John.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with john today in his home ....all around he has these awesome huge paintings and its all very inspiring ...

john was so welcoming and friendly and I felt at ease straight away and although we didn't have loads of time I think we managed to get some lovely images done ......

john is very chatty and very professional and made sure I had a drink and was warm enough in the time I was there ...I wish I had the time to stay longer but hopefully ill be back again soon and we can get together again .... he is highly recommended by me to anyone who has the opportunity to work with him ......

John invited me to his amazing artists studio for an hour of modelling for a camera and an hour life modelling for his drawing. He was a fantastic host and made sure I had a drink (or two) at all times! A very passionate artist, and a great creative eye too. Despite his lack of experience with a camera, I was thoroughly impressed with the images we created together and he picked up the photographic skills I was teaching him very quickly.

I had a great time today and felt extremely comfortable with John. I am very happy to recommend him to other models and I can't wait to see the finished drawing!

John responded to a late casting following a cancellation on my way back to Cornwall. Comms were friendly and to the point, a quick phone call to finalise details and we were sorted. He was very hospitable, and swift with a cup of tea following traffic hell - always important! :)

John took a number of images to use as source material for his art, as well as sketching, am really looking forward to seeing what he makes from them - his work is so vibrant and full of life!
