Update: No longer full-time. As I sort out this transition, I won't be shooting for a while. Once I sort things out, I will be back as an amateur (it's such a relief to say that) and I will start shooting regularly again.

Hello!

I'm a photographer based in South Yorkshire, but I can travel as needed.

I'll shoot in most styles, but my favourites are headshots and beauty.

Trade

I'm not shooting TF* or tests at this time (unless we've worked together before). Everything I shoot is either with the aim to publish in some form or to perfect new techniques. 

Paid

As such, I do pay for shoots. You may send me a message to let me know that you're available for this work. I can't jump at every opportunity, but I will keep you in mind if something suitable comes up.

Shoots

It is important to me that shoots are laid back and relaxed. I like to get a lot done; however, I believe that should never impact the atmosphere. Good images seldom come out of a situation where everything is wound tight and everybody is stressed out.

Who I Want to Work With

I like to work with models who are outgoing and very energetic and who are confident in both their appearance and their abilities.

The reason for this is that I am the walking personification of the word introvert. By nature, I respond and react to the energy in the room. If, like me, you are timid, reserved and quiet, there's a high chance that we may not work well together as we will both make each other uncomfortable. I have no desire to make anyone feel uncomfortable at all. The very thought of it keeps me up at night.

What You Can Expect From Me

From me you can expect all the normal things. I will try to be as clear and concise as possible in all pre-shoot communications. I will always be polite. I will constantly show you the back of the camera so you are aware of what’s going on throughout the shoot. I will never push your levels (when I shoot nudes and the like, I will book a model who works to those levels.) I will constantly check on your comfort, whether that involves the brightness of lights or difficult poses. Oh, and I will never comment on your appearance in any way that doesn't directly regard us doing our jobs.

Studio/Location

I work out of studios in South Yorkshire. The nearest train stations that I can get to easily are are usually Wombwell, Meadowhall and Barnsley. If you're coming from further away than, say, Leeds, Meadowhall and Barnsley are the best bet as the smaller train stations inexplicably add £20 to the fare. 

I am also more than happy to travel to you for both location and studio work; however, I need of plenty of notice.

Short Notice

I am frequently available (locally) at short notice, so please get in touch if you want to shoot with only a day or two notice.
