Jason Nicholls was born in 1976 in Iserlohn, a city in the Märkischer Kreis district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany To British Army parents.
He studied at The Royal Ballet School and later at Elmhurst Ballet School. Whilst still a student Jason performed at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for Queen Elizabeth II in a Gala with Rudolf Nureyev, Sir Anthony Dowell and Dame Antoinette Sibley.
After Elmhurst, Jason went on to study Performing Arts at Chippenham Technical College.
After college Jason auditioned and became one of the very first students to study Acting at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, set up by Sir Paul McCartney.
Performing, twice more, for Queen Elizabeth II whilst at LIPA, first for the Schools Opening Ceremony and again at a Concert in the historic Picture Gallery at Buckingham Palace for delegates attending the Second Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM II).
Welcoming the delegates, who included the Heads of 26 ASEM II delegations, and other guests including dignitaries from Austria, Belgium, Brunei, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vietnam and The EU Commission. Members of the Royal family who attended the dinner and Concert included The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Princess Royal, Captain Timothy Laurence, RN, and The Duke of Kent.
Starting his professional career at 21 in The Big Book for Girls
as a prewar school boy for the NSTC at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington, London.
Followed by a long stint with ParkShow Productions for almost 3 years playing characters such as Brutus from The Popeye show in Arana’s around the country.
Jason was delighted to be chosen to play a Phantom in the A1 National Tour of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, Understudying and playing on many occasions Eddie/[url removed]t, and Brad Majors for Turnstyle/Ambassadors Theatre Group, Directed by Christopher Malcolm, with M.D David Tench (from The Voice)
Jason was chosen, by the Nintendo Games Company to play the character of Brock, in the all singing, all dancing, live action, European and Las Vegas Residency version of Pokémon Live! For Omni International.
