I had the pleasure to work with Jimmy for the first time at the Workshop with Thomas Holm in Italy last May, and I was very happy when he decided to book a private shoot with me in Valdorcia!

We spoke quite a lot before the day and set everything up for the shoot. We worked for about 4 hours in different locations using different outfits, and it was fun and very relaxed (except when the spider tried to attack me, sorry for my reaction! but at least it was funny ahah), and the pictures were amazing!

Thank you Jimmy, can't wait to shoot again next time I'll be back in Italy!

-With Apologies to Jimmy for this terribly belated reference. (I was looking after my father in Canada, following his cancer surgery, until he died, and it has taken me considerable time to get back into the swing of things on this site- to address the mountain of admin that piled up whilst I was caring for Dad).

But before all that happened, I was delighted to have a dream shoot in Venice with Jimmy. :) Venice is one of my favourite places on Earth, and I was so excited to be given this opportunity, to shoot ballet, which is a lifelong love, in a place I love. Jimmy kindly provided accommodation in a beautiful old Air B & B apartment for the days I was there, and he was lovely company- he provided excellent meals in the cafés and restaurants, during which we had illuminating discussions about photography, among other things. Jimmy had a different perspective to me on the Venetian architecture, so it was interesting to work with someone who saw the place differently from me (I love the theatricality of the Carnevale), and especially as we had all day and night to shoot, we were able to experiment with differing lighting situations, and learn from those experiences in the locations he found, and we came away with some really lovely, exceptional images, which Jimmy kindly let me know won competitions, as well as achieving FPIs on this site.

It was somewhat unfortunate, though understandable, that Jimmy had to leave a bit early, for a family get-together, as we had been working well and there were so many wonderful locations to shoot in, which gave great scope for creativity. We were hoping and planning to shoot again in Venice, but sadly, the pandemic struck, which scuppered our plans. A great shame, as there was so much potential, and I was getting all excited again, thinking of how much more we could do in the locations we’d discovered. But I am forever grateful for all that we managed to do in the time we had.

Highly Recommended- and I hope we will shoot together again. :)

Jimmy is such a lovely person, easy going, friendly, well mannered and professional throughout out.

We got some stunning images and overall a brilliant 4hrs shoot with great company.

What can I say about my shoot with James other than the fact it was amazing!

He first reached out to me in regards to booking a shoot in Venice while I was touring and working in the UK. Luckily we were able to make it happen, it was the highlight of my whole trip.

He planned out the whole day, bringing me to some amazing locations including famous landmarks! He was also kind enough to let my friends tag along who were visiting Venice for the first time also.

We shot indoor and outdoor and couldn't of gotten luckier with great weather.

James is a laid back, kind gentleman who had so much knowledge to share about not only Venice and Italy but photography. He trusted me completely with styling the outfits and taking control of posing on each location. I couldn't of asked for a better photographer to work with that day. We took mini breaks through out the day also which was much needed.

Worked with James yesterday in a cottage near Ditching.

The location was small, however it had some aesthetically beautiful features to it and great use of natural light.

We started off with a mix of natural light portraits combined with flash and finished off with some art nudes.

We made good use of the cottage, each room gave a different atmosphere and mood.

I enjoyed working with James and would certainly work with him again. He was happy for me to contribute ideas and we bounced off eachother, creating some wonderful results.

He was polite, professional and chatty throughout the day, keeping the day relaxed and making sure I was comfortable :)

Looking forward to the results. Recommended by me!
