References for STUDIO 73

Had my very first shoot with John. The precoms was absolutely amazing so i knew exactly what John wanted from the shoot in terms of outfits, makeup and hair and what kind of styles he was looking to create.

Up on arrival at his home studio John and I had a bit of a chat over a cup of tea to get to know each other a little better before he kindly showed me around the studio space.

John was really professional, constantly asked if i needed anything in terms of drinks or the heaters putting on which i thought was very nice but also very chatty and friendly which made him very easy to get along and work with.

Overall the shoot and images turned out absolutely fantastic and i would recommend working with John if you haven't already. I look forward to working with you again. Thank you for a lovely shoot.

Had my third shoot with John this week at his home studio.

As always the shoot was very creative, we captured plenty of different styles whilst having lots of laughs.

Always a pleasure shooting with John, can’t teccomend him enough.

I had my first shoot with john and shane on Tuesday and was instantly made to feel comfortable and at ease. They both have a brilliant sense of humour which makes working with them a lot of fun. John gave me great direction with the poses he wanted and i would highly reccommend them both

Today was my second shoot with John and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him again!

I always feel so comfortable and welcomed into his home studio, which is incredibly well equipped.

Great pre communication again and John made it very clear of his ideas. He’s so creative and patient during shoots which was well worth it as the images from the BOC looked amazing!

John is very recommend by me. Thanks again for such a fun evening, looking forward to working together again very soon! :)

This weekend I finally had my first shoot with John after he’d been in touch last year and it was an absolute pleasure!

He’s such a creative, friendly guy who makes you feel so comfortable. Studio was lovely and very well equipped. Highly recommend John to any model.

John & Shane are both such lovely people to work with, really had a laugh & a great morning shooting with them!! I actually found it hard getting down to the set amount of photos I had to choose at the end as it was too hard as they were all amazing!!! I’d definitely work with both of them again!! And recommend them to anyone for great photos & of course a fun day while getting the images thank you both lots!! Look forward to seeing the images when they are done!!

I really enjoyed working with John – when a photographer approaches a shoot which they have clearly put a lot of thought and creativity into to try and achieve images that are outside the box and visually powerful then it rubs off on you as the model posing for it because you really get in the zone with the idea! :D

So John invited me to come and work with him at his studio in South Yorkshire. He was polite from the start and always good with communication as we got the dates confirmed. As the shoot drew closer he had clear ideas for me of what to bring which is super handy from a model perspective because not only can you obviously pack that specifics as instructed but also things you may have which are similar/within the same concept zone and of course the photographer is never fully aware of what your entire wardrobe collection is like so good communication like I had with John really is the starting point of a shoot with positive results. The working team relationship and bouncing off each other doesn’t just begin on the day. It’s great to share visions with the model. 

When I arrived, John made sure I had everything I needed: refreshments, a good working temperature and plenty of space to chance/assemble my bits and pieces. He is very respectful and gives the models their space regardless of the levels they work to and just shows automatic courtesy which is a big plus for is a model is coming to work with John who may be much shyer/less experienced. It is always confidence-instilling to know if a photographer takes the steps to be courteous and think of the comfort of the people they are working with.  So I can wholeheartedly recommend John for his professionalism and kindness from the word go until we wrapped the session up.

WE broke effortlessly into a flow – Johns ideas came to life beautifully and we sure covered an amazing range of styles from sculptural nudes to story-telling ideas. It was a very innovative afternoon and John was always running around, adjusting the lighting to make the image as strong a moment as he could before pressing the shutter. A very keen creative and great photographer whose interest in the whole process really comes out on-set. He utilises the space in his studio so well and has a great eye for getting angles to work and improvising on the spot… When we assessed the images that we were getting in the breaks, there were some absolute stunners for sure! :D

I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend John and certainly look forward to working with him again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Loved yesterdays shoot! John applied to my casting to work with myself and MUA Kendal Shaw, we wanted to do a 60s themed shoot. John and Shane are super friendly, chatty and funny! John's studio is brill! We used a yellow background which looked awesome with the 60s Hippie outfit. Both John and Shane helped me with posing which was great as I learnt a lot! I can't wait to see the final images, I would highly recommend both of them and would love to work with them again!

I absolutely love shooting with John. This is the second time we’ve done a shoot together and it went brilliantly. I’d highly recommend working with him, as hes talented and will invest time in you, so you can practise and learn new skills without judgement.

My first studio shoot, John did a great job of helping with the lighting and interacting when needed. As a new studio they have a few improvements to do but really enjoyed time there. They were open to ideas and didn't mind changing stuff around. Look forward to next visit.

This was not the first time I have worked with John and Shane, but the first time in their new studio doing a group shoot.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day, always fun working with John and Shane and the day was a huge success!

The studio has everything you need for a great shoot and the model is well looked after with a changing area, including a hanging rail with hangers!

Great guys and a great studio too! Will be back doing more there in 2018 :)

I met John for the first time today and he was friendly and polite upon arrival, even picking me up from the station! He instantly made me feel at ease and had me laughing which led to a laid back atmosphere during the shoot.

He was patient at my lack of experience, offered helpful tips and makes a good cup of tea.

Got what I thought to be some fantastic images from working with him and I can’t wait to see the final result.

I’d thoroughly recommend adding John to your portfolio if you get the chance.

John and Shane we're very professional. When shooting they did everything they could to get the perfect image but also knew how to have a laugh.

I would recommend any model to work these guys, they always made sure I had a smile on my face and John also makes the best cups of teas. ;)

I had my first ever shoot with John today and I can happily say I enjoyed every second of it. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout the whole shoot. He even welcomed me with a bottle of lucozade, I can tell you something I LOVE lucozade lol!

We also had many giggles which topped the whole shoot off together.

I would highly recommend john to anybody, I can't wait to shoot with you guys again. Thank you for an amazing experience.

I met John today and oh my lovely young man and I contacted him very last minute via a casting and let me say it was worth it.He was already outside waiting by time I got there and phoned him lol. We chat straight away and throughout the entire shoot (we ran out of time)..John is very professional and very much capable of being a tutor; he gives direction very well ,he takes on comments and other ideas on board,he is very very patient, he takes images from some effective angles and he's totally awesome. . He takes really good images. .Studio 73 is absolutely fantastic I just cannot wait to go back;so may props and clothing to work with and the SPACE Tremendous.
