I’ve worked with Jo a couple of times now and on both occasions she has not failed to impress with her makeup and artistic abilities. She is able to do any style, whether it be natural, high fashion or something completely different! We get along well. Jo is very friendly yet professional and I felt totally comfortable in her company. Can’t wait to collaborate again in the near future. 😊

This time we were super creative and it was just effortless to her....she somehow transformed me into a goddess and if you saw me in the morning you would appreciate how tricky this is hehe. Aside from her skills, she is such a lovely, kind hearted person who is an absolute pleasure to be around. Happy in spirit all the time which is an instant fee good factor and helps make the shoot that much more enjoyable. I already knew of Jo from previous social networking events and heard many positive things about her Mua skills previously so when myself and Andrew Rowe were looking for a makeup artist how could we not ask Jo? Her make up was amazing and very strong just what I'd hoped for and something totally different to anything I'd had before. Aside from the make up Jo is an absolutely amazing person to have around on any shoot she is so fun and keeps the moral high even I difficult situations, the weather was against us but she didn't stop at being the Mua she got involved in the shoot and proved to be a super assistant also, anchoring down the lights and just being generally awesome. Couldn't have picked anyone better for the day. 100% recommended by me and I hope there will be further chances to work with this talented lady again 😊

I had the pleasure of working with Jo when she did makeup for a recent shoot with Amie-Jayne Boulton. Jo did an amazing job and the makeup was applied to an extremely high standard, and was exactly what I had in mind.

Jo also assisted me during the shoot when we were hampered by poor weather and strong winds, literally hanging onto my lights.

First time working with Beautywithin on Saturday, she was amazing. She turned up on time and did make up for 5 models on the day.

What a pleasure working with joanne bates yesterday she was lovely to talk to.she helped by boosting my confidence in myself. I cant say enough about the make up it was stunning she really made me feel like a glamorous 50s girl. Joanne is the first MUA that I had used and wow! What a result. Joanne's ability and technique is varied and creative, Jo and I worked on a recent shoot which saw Jo stepping out of her usual area of make up application.
