Jason Leadley Photography

Hi, I'm Jason from 'Jason Leadley Photography' (https://[url removed][link removed]).  I consider myself to be a 'professional hobbiest' having qualified with a City & Guilds Level II and III, I have been shooting for about 13 years (ish).  I've attended many courses to further develop my skills and experience - you can never stop learning photography ! But mostly self-taught from a practical perspective.

What do I like?  Well, I don't like to pigeon-hole my photography into one speciality because I believe that in doing so, its possible to restrict, or limit creative scope. I see no reason why classic techniques honed for product photography for example, cannot and should not be applied creatively to, for example, bodyscape photography; that's what makes photography creative, fun and unique. The strap line used for my website, 'CAPTURE - CREATE - DELIVER' speaks to that ethos. I am open-minded though and very keen to broaden horizons.

Having shot weddings, engagements, family portraits, professional head shots, commercial shoots and events, I am gearing my photography more towards studio work and location shoots of late. I lived in the US for 18 months, where my photography started to evolve from fashion and beauty into lingerie, nude and perhaps my favourite, 'bodyscape' photography.  Defining body contours using delicate lighting to exaggerate the natural lines, shape and shadows of the human form. Is there a better canvas to paint?

I believe in keeping things simple, being engaged, having fun and working collaboratively to create images that are mutually pleasing.  Above all, to my mind, photography should be subjective, engaging, respectful, and above all FUN.
