Asimira

Jan Karel is a joy to work with. He picked me up from the station by foot and we spend a lot of our time talking. He puts a lot of care into his photos and we enjoyed working together to get the best images. Jan Karel communicated well before and after shooting, is kind and reliable, and we made some beautiful photos. I will gladly recommend him.

I've met Jan-Karel about two years ago. First we met online, he used to -and still does- join the lifedrawing sessions I hosted on zoom. A few months later we arranged a shoot together at his photo studio, and I did also an online lifedrawing session from there using the studio lights, while he still photographed me. It was a really nice experience. Jan-Karel is a very kind person and great photographer. We also shot some very nice portrait with his very old analog camera, which was very cool. Some months later we met again to shoot at my place in Rotterdam. Again very nice and easy going. He lets me be myself and pose in my ver weird ways :)

This is my second shoot with Jan-Karel and was looking forward to seeing him again. Jan-Karel is a wonderful and sensitive artist with a deep understanding and openness to arts and his subjects. Super interesting to discuss with him and he's really nice and easy-going. He's not afraid to experiment and hear your ideas as well.

He also gave me two prints from our last shoot which was lovely!
