I had my first shoot with James at my home and BOOM! What a fantastic shoot it was!!! Firstly James' coms were great - it was super easy to set the shoot up - and secondly - JAMES IS GREAT!! I enjoyed every moment of our shoot tbh. James is very easy to get on with and I found him very respectful and professional! I loved James' approach to shooting and I was blown away at his ability to see light and compose beautiful images!!!

James is really easy going and values quality over quantity, there is no machine shooting, each shot was thought about and executed beautifully! We shot all around my home, using lots of different areas as well as shooting in my studio. I loved that James was very open to my ideas and we even shot with 5 baby bunnies that were staying with me!

Not only was the shoot itself fantastic, but James has already processed a huge number of images from the shoot which I adore!!! How can I choose ?! All in all, just wonderful and i highly recommend James and hope we can shoot again soon!!!

This was my second time working with the talented, James! Always pleasure teaming up together. We shot at a secret abandoned stately home, 24 miles out of cumbria. The location was breath taking and picturesque.

I definitely recommend any artnude model to work with James. He knows his stuff, highly experienced, professional and respectful. You can tell by the pictures how skilled, he is!

James, easily and definitely one of my favourite photographers to work with in Cumbria. I look forward to working together, in the near future for more adventurous shoots!

Had a fabulous shoot with James yesterday,

I applied to one of his castings where he responded very quickly and pre communications were figured out, all in a matter of a few messages! With us both knowing exactly how the shoot was going to go! James sent a few links of images so I could get an idea of where he was going.

On the day he picked me up from station and went back to his for a home shoot. We had a quick chat and flicked through images again and we were set to shoot!

The shoot itself was very relaxed, with James being happy to just let me pose naturally. However still giving some ideas where needed.

I would highly recommend him to any level of model. The images look superb and I cant wait to work with him again on location.

I’ve had a wonderful shoot with James. He applied for my casting for g/g shoot and his pre coms were great. On the day of the shoot James had so many creative ideas. And I was impressed how he would use different objects to frame our images. That made them look epic. It’s impossible to get bored on a shoot with James as he will shoot in every corner of the house till he gets the perfect picture. I truly believe James is more than a photographer, he’s an artist.

I hope to have the opportunity to shoot with him in the future again.

I had my first shoot with James a couple of weeks ago. He is the first photographer I worked with on PurplePort and he was so comfortable to shoot with.

He kindly picked me up and dropped me off near my home. James is very respecting and did not make me feel pushed out of my comfort one at all.

He was very clear with the style of shoot he wanted and sent me examples prior to the shoot which helped me prepare for the shoot.

I highly recommend working with James.

Today I had my first shoot with JamesJShaw and what a absolute pleasure!

We did a home shoot at my house he came prepared and on time, communication was perfect, we booked in a 4 hour shoot and in a little amount of time we got some amazing images Did 2 outfits and art nude worked most of my house and we both were really pleased with the outcome! I can’t wait too see the images from out shoot, James has a eye for detail and gets the perfect shot I highly recommend him! And I can’t wait to shoot with him again, he was happy to give direction and was happy to let me pose how I wanted, he is very professional and made me feel very comfortable

I could not recommend James enough!!

We organized a shoot pretty last minute whilst I was on a trip in Manchester and it was an absolute delight working with him. We walked through the city and found a secluded location which he had researched previously, where we managed to shoot some Art nude, portrait, fashion, and then found some other locations whilst walking on our way back.

I found it really easy to work with James and was really comfortable posing for him. The pictures we produced are stunning 😍 Cant wait to work together again! I would recommend him to other models with no hesitation!

Had a brilliant shoot with James this morning, it was really relaxed and he was lovely to work with. The images we got were really creative with great use of lighting, he has a great eye for it. I felt comfortable the whole time and found him easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend working with James and hope to work with him again myself in the future.

James is awesome. He came right in time for our shoot and he was very happy to listen to my ideas. James was very well prepared for the shoot and a wide variety of different cameras and lenses to help him create unique shots :)

I had a great first shoot with James today after his work brought him to Hull (and I’m very pleased it did).

James has a really unique eye for creating images, and a particular skill for utilising various light sources to create different moods and effects in his images.

James is easy to get along with, and his shoot style is very natural and relaxed.

From what I’ve seen on the back of the camera, we got some great results, and I can’t wait to see the final edits!

I had a 4 hour shoot with James in his beautiful Georgian house.

Pre comms were great and I knew what we were going to do and we had the shoot booked quickly.

James picked me up at the nearest station, the first thing I noticed was his excellent taste in music!

The shoot itself was very relaxed and productive at the same time. James allowed me to warm up any time I was too cold and there were plenty of cups of tea if I needed them.

The pictures on the back of camera looked amazing, I look forward to seeing them full size :)

Highly recommended, I do hope we shoot again!

Second shoot with James and as always, stunning results. Working with James is incredibly relaxing, he's respectful, talented and knows what he's doing. His experimental nature makes for a fun, forever quirky shoot, creating emotive, beautiful shots that you just want to plaster all over your portfolio.

James himself is a very interesting chap, thoughtful and a great person to spend a day with. I'd highly recommend him to any model who loves a bit of character!

I had such an amazing shoot with James!

I responded to a last minute casting of his and was so thrilled when he messaged back to organise a shoot.

He's an absolutely lovely guy and very easy to chat to. His house and grounds, where we shot, are so beautiful and photogenic, and even before we shot I knew we were going to create some amazing images, which we did! He's so so skilled with what he does, and I adore the style of his photography.

I cannot say anything negative about my shoot with James and the resulting images. It was a very enjoyable shoot.

Would recommend working with him 100%, and hope we get to work together again in the future :)
