Hi, I'm James. I'm a friendly nerdy bloke who's long on ideas, short on confidence. And money. I'm new to photography - I've always enjoyed taking photos but never done much more than a few casual snaps, until my friend asked if I do some photos with her doing burlesque, as well as a few what I'd call "Classic" nude art shots. After we'd done (unfortunately I can't share the photos) I was in love with the whole idea of photography with a model, particularly nude art. As I'm just starting up, (and I don't even know if I'll be any good at it yet) it's literally just me and a pretty basic camera; I haven't invested in any equipment yet, I just love taking photos and wanted to try this out.

My lifelong passions are history, particularly ancient history, literature and nature. I grew up in Kent in a old house in the middle of nowhere, with a father keen to pass on his love of history to his sons, and I actually listened. I did Ancient History at uni and I'm hoping to continue with that. My Dad also tried to pass on his extensive knowledge of the natural world, which hasn't really stuck, but being a country boy, I just love being in nature, and all things natural. Recently this has led me to explore the world of naturism, which I loved and now I'm hooked. I've also done a bit of life modelling for art classes, and I'd be up for trying my had at modelling for photography if the opportunity arose.

So that's the long way of saying I'd love to work more with nature and with nude models, working along classical and mythological or fantasy themes, tying in my love of history with my love of photography.

I don't have a lot of money to pay model or for studio time, so I'm offering any models the use of any images I take (is it called TFP?), and I'm willing to do free shoots for anyone who does volunteer and has some particular shots/idea/style in mind. And the potential for a drink, or even dinner, if that helps tip the balance. And obviously if you need a chubby bloke with a scruffy beard and a nice smile for any of your own work, I'm happy to trade modelling work for modelling work.

I live in a pretty average flat, not the most photogenic or classy of places but it could work for some shoots; I live right by the beach and its not far out to the Gower or up into the valleys, so that's where I'm hoping to spend a lot of time. I'm looking for mostly female models, but there's a reasonable amount of work for male models too.
