Had an awesome workshop in Paris with Jacques at his home studio. During my modeling Tour to Paris, France.

Prior to shooting pre-shoot organization of was excellent and everything was so easy to plan and organize.

On the day of shooting Jacques was welcoming and waited for me outside with another photographer. Jacques was super accommodating and I felt really at home. He even put a fan on and made sure I had enough water in the heat. He certainly didn’t work me to hard and was just a joy to be around.

Jacques is excellent at lighting and had a really good set-up with a backdrop prepared and everything. Jacques was also a good mentor during the workshop to the other photographers and was really chilled when it came to outfits and things.

The shoot was low pressure, fun and relaxed and excellent results were produced due to this atmosphere. The workshop was absolute class and I really loved it!!

Jacques is respectful, professional, friendly and hardworking. I’d recommend him to other models and photographers for the fantastic workshops that he runs.

We finally got to shoot! :D After talking about working together on numerous occasions in the past: Jacques and I finally secured a date to set up a shooting event on my latest European tour when I stopped off in Paris as part of my trip - what a fabulous evening session it was too!

Jacques kindly met me at the main station - my Maps App was playing dreadful tricks on me that day and we kept circling each other for a while! But eventually we met up and laughed about the whole thing; Jacques arranged for us to get back to his place in good time to settle before the other photographers arrived as Jacques was hosting a mini workshop/group shoot with the time shared between a few other local photographers. He has his own studio setup complete with lights/backdrop and really does make brilliant use of his place to shoot with travelling models. The other photographers arrived soon after and we were all introduced by Jacques (who is a fabulously hospitable event host!) It was a great bunch of people who were all professional and fun to work alongside throughout the shooting rotations that were carefully in place with Jacques event system. :)

There were so many ideas bouncing around on the day which kept things interesting and laid the foundations to produce some very expressive and powerful work. :) The studio space is very good by itself and Jacques has used his resources very effectively, but there is also the option of using furniture (as we did) and many cool props too! The group were very happy for me to suggest outfits and accessories that I had brought myself, and then sometimes Jacques had an epic prop or set of shoes that I should use from his stash so we benefited from a great team flow of getting creatively involved in the styling and generating visions to shoot from one set to the next. I honestly lost count of all the cool looks that were captured on the day: everyone got something slightly different too!

Jacques himself is very passionate about beauty within an image: he loves his portraits, but also loves sass and nice lighting as contributing factors to his work. He knows exactly what he is looking for with a shot and can achieve this by working productively in cooperation with his models... He also welcomes the models self-expression and gives wonderful feedback with the model poses going through the repertoires based on the vibe of a particular setup. His enthusiasm and delight for photography really bellows in positive ways and makes you feel happy and inspired with him :D It's a true joy to work with creatives who have such a clear love for their pursuit of producing beautiful images.

Finally: Jacques is a really lovely person. He has a heart of gold and appreciates the work the models do so much. He showed a great deal of courtesy, respect and pro etiquette towards me during our time shooting together... On the same not we were able to chat a lot, laugh and joke as we worked! The social value was as good as the pictures produced. :)

Very happy to have made it to Paris and Jacques place this time - we finally made it happen and it was just tremendous!

I had a very nice colaboration with Jacques. We did a small workshop in his appartment with two other photographers.

Just a shame my first shoot ran a bit late and that our time was limited.

I'm sure we will work together very soon again ! And next time we can do longer ;-)
