I'm Jack Harper, a dedicated photographer with over 14 years of experience. My journey has been one of passion, growth, and a deep love for storytelling through imagery.

 

My Journey Begins: It all started in the British Army. During an Adventure Training mission, a fellow soldier handed me his camera, asking me to capture shots while he was kayaking. The moment I held that camera, something clicked—photography became a part of me.

 

Balancing my duties, I captured moments from Afghanistan and other military settings, experiences that profoundly shaped my approach to photography and honed my eye for authentic storytelling.

 

A New Chapter: After leaving the military in 2012, I was eager to dive headfirst into photography. However, life took a different turn. In 2016, I was diagnosed with Chronic PTSD, marking a pivotal moment in my life. Through recovery, photography became my refuge—a creative outlet providing both solace and inspiration.

 

Photography transformed into more than a hobby; it became a therapeutic journey, offering healing and a renewed sense of purpose in capturing the world’s beauty and depth.

 

What I Love to Shoot: Today, my work focuses on Portraiture, Re-Enactment, and Automotive Photography. Each genre is special to me:

 

• Portraiture: Capturing genuine expressions and helping subjects feel comfortable in front of the lens.
• Re-Enactment: Bringing historical scenes to life with attention to authenticity and narrative.
• Automotive: Highlighting design and form with a fresh, detailed perspective.
