Had a fun shoot with Roxy at dusk, starting with bōjutsu and moving on the fire as the sun set. I really enjoy the challenge of these action shoots, and learn a lot from them. It's so different from the portrait and fashion I usually do.

Roxy is great to work with, everything went to plan. We started with action sequences with a staff, moving to flash and fire, juggling time exposure and flash power to achieve the result I was aiming for. I even got some portraits of his menacing make-up!

Highly recommended if you want some action and fire shoots.

Had a great shoot with Roxy on a beach a night. Started with Bo staff at dusk then moved on to fire staff and breathing as it got darker.

Roxy is really enthusiastic, and dead easy to work with.

I learnt a lot about fire photography from the evening, and would love to have a repeat shoot to put into practice what I learnt.

Good pre-shoot communications, and would like to have a follow up with him in the near future.

Second fire on the beach shoot with Roxy. He’s very accommodating while I mess with exposure and flash balance on this challenging project of mine to master fire performer photography.

Roxy is athletic, perching on columns to get a fire shot against the half moon.

He’s good to work with for what I am finding more difficult technically, especially with the transient nature of the flames.

I would definitely recommend Roxy.
