Cerebus Quartet 2019

The linework for these were draw by the pool while I was recently on holiday in Turkey. They were done old school, in blue pencil & ink in a Strathmore sketchbook.

I wanted to work out my long unused inking muscle as most of my linework these days is done using a Palomino Blackwing pencil, which is then scanned in high contract to give an ink like line.

As Letratone/Letraline is no longer readily available, I had to resort to scanning the tone from a old copyright free backgrounds reference book & the borders from a 1970’s copy of a Letraset catalogue. The whole lot was the assembled in Photoshop.
