Henry Sleath

For the past couple of years I've concentrated mostly on events, landscapes and the occasional location-based family portrait. This year I decided that I needed to push myself further with the portraiture, and network more to facilitate this. I now have a 'home studio' setup that I'm using to expand my portfolio, and hone my portraiture skills. Attending a local camera club has broadened my horizons a lot, and getting a bit of critique from like-minded people is always a good thing... keeps me honest!

As I'm just starting out, most of my work will be on a TFP basis, but if travel is an issue then I may be able to offer to cover travel expenses if I need a model to come to the studio as opposed to location shoots.

Things I love:

• Heavy, intricate makeup for alternative shoots
• Working with light to create a mood
• Eyes... LOVE eyes
• Beards... on a bloke at least!
• Black and White
• Great outfits, whether it's just a simple dress or jeans and a t-shirt... or something big and flamboyant, if it looks great then I love to shoot!

Things I don't:

• Heavy makeup... just for the hell of it
• cancelled bookings
• lateness
• A poor attitude - I'm in this for the love of the craft, I like doing it, and love being able to socialise as a result. Be nice people :-)
• Text speak... though i do love a good emoji!
