"My anxiety has been creeping in the shadows for a long, long time. It haunts me but is never to be exorcised. It is part of me now, but I embrace it. Remember, it is of the upmost importance to embrace things in life-even if they’re the bad things life throws at you. It’s a learning curve, a lesson, a challenge and a hurdle. The daily anxieties rolled into the nights, leading to no sleep, leading to exhaustion, malnourishment, fatigue, overwhelming stress, fears of sickness, physical illness, and loneliness. Giving up hope was the only option and as my mental health deteriorated, I knew I had to recharge and grip back onto the life I once had before the panic attacks and dark thoughts. Not only did I discover that other people were holding me back, I in fact uncovered that I was holding myself back entirely. I felt that in these moments, I was playing mind games with myself. Coping mechanisms became easier to control, I was forced to break free of the never ending loop. Cooped up in my own cage, I realised it was time to rip off the safety blanket, unveil the new and improved, stronger version of me. Time to stop holding back, time to release the ropes and let my soul be free." Tash. Number 4 in The Human Condition Series
