References for Hodgie

I have worked extensively with Shaun over the last few years. Mainly as a model, but also as a stylist and a location/set designer.

Shaun is an excellent photographer with an uncanny ability to concoct and capture an image opportunity. Often times that shot is so stark or simple it can be hard to see. This is one of Shaun's super powers.

Shaun really does have an artists eye for seeing an image. Even on (hmmm, or perhaps particularly...) very unorthodox locations/sets that offer all manner of challenging factors. However, I have both worked with and seen Shaun working on many such shoots now and he just effortlessly thrives on the challenge.

I now consider Shaun to be a close friend and therefore I feel I'm allowed to say that Shaun now has a very specific style of image. I have seen this happen over the last 3 years or so and I can concede that he had developed this signature style to a very high standard. His work is almost always recognisable now. That said he is not at all bullish about it. Adaptions and changes are always entertained.

In a nutshell: Creative, very technically competent, passionate, professional, highly experienced and very sought after.

Book him. Be directed. Go with his vision and just trust his eye for the shot. Do this and you will not be disappointed with the results.

I have worked with Shaun several times over the last few days, and have truly great memories of all of our shoots.

Most recently, we had the pleasure of working together at the gorgeous Beltcraft studios, where we created some stunningly creative imagery. Shaun, is a delight to pose for. His beautifully elegant style of imagery, oodles of ideas and lovely personalty, make for perfect shooting environment.

Im delighted with the days results and would be thrilled to work with Shaun again in the near future,

Very last minute shoot today with Shaun, to find some derelict buildings...Despite being cursed with torrential rain and hailstones, insects with a taste for blood, and walkers trying to keep dry, we had a great shoot with some awesome results. Great fun to work with and awesome direction! Shoot 2 planned already, and def recommended if you get the chance to work with him :)

Had my first group shoot today. Met some great models and talented photographers.

Loved working with Hodgie, I only had an hour shoot with him, he gives good direction and incredibly creative. Looking forward to shooting with him hopefully a lot more than just an hour...lol

I would absolutely recommend him... X

Had my first shoot with Hodgie yesterday.. and SO hoping it wont be my last. I have wanted to try to pose for "bodyscape" for a long time but was always unsure my body would be appropriate.. Shaun was certainly the man to do it with. We had been planning and scheming for a while but the shoot happened totally out of the blue and at short notice.. The conditions weren't ideal as we shot at my home.. but the results.. AMAZING. Not only is he an extremely talented photographer that knows his stuff... he is also a really nice man, gentleman through and through and I would not hesitate to recommend him to experienced or new models. Hodgie.. THANK YOU.., thank you for a great day and some fantastic images!!

Today I had the pleasure of working with Shaun again. It's been nearly 2 years since our last shoot. Working with Shaun is such a relaxing and productive time I never want to stop. The time always fly's by . I've seen some of the images and I love them. Shaun always finds ideas to drive and inspire. I would like to work with Shaun again and I highly recommend him to both new models and models who have been working in the industry for a while. Thank you again Shaun, it was a great afternoon.

Is been a long time coming but its about time I wrote Hodgie a reference on here. Shaun is an absolutely wonderful photographer. He has a very clear style and vision which he adheres to with ease. I have worked with and for Shaun - in front of and behind the camera - many times and have been providing him with sets for some time now and have seen him work with many models now, he is always professional, fun and most of all passionate. He absolutely LOVES his work which makes his shoots a pleasure to be on. I highly recommend him to all. His services, skill and creative talent are transparently evident in the images he produces.

Had a great shoot with Shaun last Saturday. Pre- communications was excellent, was well organised, kind, friendly, professional and fun to be around. He hired an MUA for the first part of our shoot and the second part he took me to a very nice house as I said I wanted pictures different to what is on my portfolio. Whilst shooting Shaun was very creative and had amazing ideas. The results I received so far are fantastic. Could not have asked for more from a shoot. Really hope we can work together again. Highly recommended to all. Thank you for a wonderful day. x

After hearing numerous great things about Mr. Hodge, I was ecstatic to have the chance to work with him. We decided to shoot body-scapes and fine-art nude styles, which I haven't too much experience in. I found Shaun to be great at explaining how the shapes are created - I learnt a lot from Shaun on our shoot. I found his passion and knowledge drove me to deliver. Shaun was fabulous all in all!! - a great sense of humour, friendly, dedicated and passionate. Shaun was a great host, and offered beautiful filter coffee throughout, which I found a delight. I was especially thrilled at Shaun's triumph with a very old camera...... The flash worked with it and Shaun's passion was evident :) really looking forward to seeing how those images turned out. I really enjoyed working with Shaun, and I could not be happier with what we created that day.......Highly, highly recommended, and I'm excited about the possibility of future shoots with this great photographer.

Pre-shoot comms were great and when it came to actually shooting, he was careful to ensure that each image was set-up carefully. I loved working with this guy today. He is very professional, easy to get along with and likes to work up to your levels and create your ideas. I know there will be some great images from him and I can't wait to see them. He is very good on location and good with working with what he has got. He is good with direction when needed aswell. I have shot with Shaun time and time again over the years having first met him at a charity photo shoot in summer 2011.

Shaun has an amazing presence as a photographer and creates truly stunning images. We have collaborated more than once, as Shaun has the ability to understand and furthermore achieve the images you set out to create.

Shaun has a fantastic eye and also understands the importance of the location, down to having a talented MUA to help complete the look. That being said we once has an impromptu shoot in some woodlands near my house with just a few outfits thrown together and the results were amazing.

Overall Shaun is truly talented, he has an eye for a good picture and will never mess you around.

I have worked with Shaun on numerous occasions and have nothing but nice things to say about him. He is an excellent and talented photographer with an open mind and willingness to share ideas with models.

Shaun always has very creative ideas and he's way of working puts the model at complete ease.

I always receive my images on time, they are retouched well and to a high standard. I will continue to work with Shaun in the future and would highly recommend him to all.

Have done several shoots with Shaun already and i am really honored i can work with him again and again. I wish we could have more opportunities to work together more often. He is very professional and i highly recommend him as a PROFESSIONAL photographer. Very easy to work with. Feel relaxed in front of him, which is important for us models as we know.
