Visited the Hive studio for the first time. Jay made me feel very welcome, with a much needed cuppa after a long drive. Had a quick walk round tour with Jay before I started my shoot to see what set up he had.

Highly recommend booking the Hive for a shoot. I will be booking the studio again when I'm back up that way.

It was my first time shooting at hive studio really easy to find and , plenty of parking spaces inside to use,

Was my first time meeting jay up on arrival , was pleasure , very chatty , and polite and showed us around the studio space, had lots of props also to use I will be coming back again ,

I Had a super shoot at the studio and photo what I have seen look amazing

The studio is well equipped and puts you in a very creative mood.

I had my first shoot at Valcato today and it was brilliant. Great communication, easy to find and easy parking. Once inside it is a very good space, I had the run of two studios for 4 hours and got some great photos. Good kitchen and everything the two models needed to get ready.

I can recommend and I will be using again.

My first visit to Valcato Studio, definitely not my last. A very well equipped and well designed studio with several shooting areas, changing and makeup area and a separate kitchen area with plenty of tea coffee and biscuits. We were given a very warm welcome by Jay and he gave us a tour of the facilities. He was on hand to help out if needed but never intrusive. Very friendly and a great host.

100% recommendation.

Well what a great studio find this was. I was attending an event local to this studio on the sunday and booked this for a bit of a meetup with some friends on the saturday. Huge studio, lots of lighting gear and loads of versatility all for a great price

Welcomed in by jay and shown around. supplied with coffee and other refreshments. I couldnt have asked more for what we needed

Highly recommend if you need a studio in this area. If I am around here again I will be booking for next time.

It's lovely to be able to give a first reference - more so, as Jay was such a wonderful host, and was incredibly helpful and supportive, without being intrusive.

There's a lot to make use of at Valcato: Jay's primarily a videographer, and he's building up his stills equipment. What's already there is solid, good quality, and allows a fine range of work.

The studio itself is large. Although the ceiling isn't particularly high, there's plenty of space - so a short telephoto lens for full-length shots is entirely feasible. Misuzu and I worked mainly with one end of one studio - there's a whole other room we didn't explore, complete with large, moveable mirrors... (I need to go back, soon!)

Those who want to shoot with sets or props will (for the moment) need to bring their own. But those like me (who want space, lights, and plain backgrounds, in a space that blacks out almost absolutely) will love it.

Add in the clean environment, excellent relaxation space away from both studios with tea, coffee and snacks, and it's just a great place to work.
