The Hive, Stoke on Trent

Thank-you for your interest in The Hive, Stoke on Trent!  Our studio is now fully booked for Summer 2024, but if you are looking to run a workshop or event from September onward we'd love to hear from you!  Please note that due to limited availability we are currently unable to accept hourly bookings - rates start from half-day booking only.

We're a 24/7/365 creative hub located in the mother town of Stoke on Trent.   We have a large photo and video studio available to shoot in, plus a recording studio and kitchen/breakout area perfect for keeping yourself caffeinated and sharing images and video.

Whether you are an amateur or professional photographer, videographer, podcaster, model, performer or make-up artist, you can book The Hive for your very own shoot!  The studio area is equipped with various stocked sets, paper backdrops and lighting equipment (both flash and LED continuous lighting for photo or video) and we've thought of all the helpful extras to help your shoot go smoothly.

Studio A is perfectly suited to performance, headshots, high key glamour or experimenting with artistic lighting.  It's a massive 14 metres long, 4 metres wide, 2.5m height to suspended ceiling, 4m to roof, and can be completely blacked out.  Black carpets/flooring and black draped walls make this studio a complete blank canvas for your creations.  It also features a paper backdrop system which can be stocked with up to 3 rolls of paper for quick changes and a multi-purpose brick detail set perfect for YouTube, podcasts or headshots - take a look at our Studio Updates album for more details.
