I am a photographer and Photoshop wizard based in Birmingham, UK.
I am available for weddings, events and portfolio building shoots.
Primarily I shoot model portfolios. I do the occasional TF shoot to refresh my own portfolio but will always be quite generous with the amount of edits I send the models.
I enjoy the edgy, the alternative, the different.
I'm experienced enough that I can give lots of pointers and directions to models (particularly new ones) but also enjoy collaborating with the more experienced.
I have access to a great studio in Birmingham but I also have portable lighting equipment that I can bring to you or to locations.
I've usually got a few themes I'm working on - usually sourcing props and costumes but if you fancy doing anything on the list and you have (or can source) costumes/props let me know. The current list is:
Mental Health - in my real life I am a mental health campaigner and sit on the boards of 2 mental health charities. I have a project to sympathetically portray images of mental health conditions. If you think you'd like to collaborate on this, contact me directly.
Green Screen - I've just bought a "green screen" backdrop that I'm keen to experiment with. The idea is that I can replace the green backdrop with any scene I want so you can be on a beach, in an abandoned building, flying through the air, etc.
Newtonesque - stark black and white images with a degree of nudity and fetish
Playing Cards - the Harley Quinn shoot I did gave me the idea of shooting images for Kings, Queens and Jacks and possibly Aces of the four suits. I'm going to need stylist and make up artist help here unless models can do it all.
Fantasy - can be anything from manga cosplay to Tolkeinesque
Pinup - 40s/50s saucy
Zodiac - I'm after shooting each of the signs with a view to compiling a calandar eventually.
Flowers shoot - Victoria style dress/parasol/lace gloves. Bluebells will be the next up in March/April (but see Green Screen above)
Movie Themes - setting up a scene from a movie.
I love the art from the Flemish painters - particularly Vermeer and his use of natural light (he didn't have any other to be fair) I would really love to combine costume, location and model to make some real art.
I've also got a fair range of latex outfits which are refreshed with new ones regularly.
Even if you don't have any costume or prop and think you would like to shoot one of the themes - let me know.
You can also see Pinterest boards for the themes which include props I already have here:
