OUR LOCATION

We are about five minutes from Liverpool by train or using the Birkenhead tunnel. We are centrally located, two minutes walk from mainline and underground train stations and bus stations. There are several public car parks nearby.

ACOMMODATION

There is a new Premier Inn (Conway Street, Birkenhead,CH41 5AP) within three minutes walk and which can be booked from £35 per night if reserved in advance. The nearby Village Hotel is within a ten minute drive plus there is access to many hotels in Liverpool through the nearby tunnel within a five minute drive.

What equipment do you have available to use?

At the moment, we have 6 x 300w lights. All with Bowens S fit connector. We have 2 large rectangular softboxes and 2 smaller ones, plus 1 beauty dish. We also have 2 strip boxes  and access to two more and another beauty dish if needed. 

On request we can make a further 2 lights available. We have access to 2 x 500w lights, again with Bowens S Fit connector. We will need to have some notice for these additional items to be brought to the studio. 

We have a small but growing collection of props. You are most welcome to bring your own modifiers and props if you wish.

We have a choice of paper background colours, and some exciting new sets planned for the future.

Hair and Makeup Facilities

• The studio has its own private hair and make up room with wash basin and mirrors.
• There is clothes hanging space along with an iron and a clothes steamer.
• There is a shower too. We also have towels and robes should you need them but please ask in advance.

Reception & Waiting Area

• The studio has a seperate reception and waiting area.

Facilities for users with a disability

• The studio has disability friendly access and toilet facilities.

DISCOUNTS FOR REGULAR USERS

We provide discounts to customers who bring their own lights, hire the studio regularly or attend our photography network events and clubs. Models and photographers can also gain studio credits with our Time for Studio (TFS) system. This involves collaborating and contributing towards one of our projects in exchange for studio use at quieter times.

Price to hire any one of the studios is £22.50 per hour (min two hours). £55 per 3 hours. £85 per 6 hours.  (Extra fees may apply for evenings/Sundays/unsociable hours.) Refreshments are available along with fast Broadband access.

We hold group studio days and studio network events which are always very popular. We also provide workshops and one on one tuition by some excellent photographers and models. If you are new to studios and would like some guidance we can organise training and/or someone to support you during your shoot.
